Dude, I’m really trying hard to understand where on earth the issue is and based from your concern…I really do honestly. But can’t see what is the problem since there isn’t.
My advice as I told you more than once, and if you want to make sure you are not missing a single new map series coming up, is to join whatever map you have not entered yet on Sunday night before going to bed.
Each map will renew once full during a period of 2 WEEKS. (Refer attached screenshot)
I got your point where you tried to join the last iteration to allow yourself to limit as much as possible the amount of tournament currently in play…but at some point that is your own way and how you are managing your game load…you could just be on a positive series where you pass each round 1 and perhaps 2 in the current 8-10 map you have ongoing and reluctant to join new map too soon but at some point it is strictly on you and the way you manage your game load. My advice would be to take your turn as soon as they come and not wait the 24hrs so you could expect to end the series of 3 games (5 if in the final round) much faster than other match and this could give you perhaps a week or more of delay before the next round start in the event you qualify. But here again and if your skill and/or luck get better and better, you would not be able to stop the train and get more ongoing tournament altogether if you plan on participating in all maps
I tried at some point and I decided to stop because I went to a similar path joining the latest iteration to hope for some relief to get eliminated in current map to maintain a sort of acceptable game load but it was going to high and made the decision to let it go.I could have join only the map I prefer the most but like you and in such event, the fun is more about being able to join everything like a huge marathon and able to tell myself I did it…well I failed…
