aright, pretty savvy with the game and technical jargon like "deadbeats" if you took the time to look at one of his 4 games he has been in.

I think its fair to say that its suspicious to see a new recruit this savvy with the BBC format, and know slang terms associated with this game, and be versed enough to win at least half of his first games with using the Freestyle setting.

Worth a check, and not out of the ordinary for someone to question it

Exactly what sam has said. Keep this on topic. But I am going to agree with sam on that this seems very weird that within 3 days of joining, a new recruit is posting in forums and such like a pro. As well as who would have that many ideas within a few days.

Maybe he's just not an idiot and has used a forum before? It's not like they were invented by CC....
The idea he has about bidding on turn order comes directly from Risk 2210, and the fog of war ideas are implemented in the computer game, Risk II. Risk 2210 also uses a sort of victory points, as do many other strategic board games with a set number of rounds. Holding bonuses for a full round comes from playing one freestyle game, where the "fairness" was as obvious to him as it is to every other player who isn't farming. He hasn't had any amazing insights about things that would only occur on CC. He plays Risk; these are legitimate ideas.
It's also very obvious that he reads the forums, as he's posted many questions in Q&A. There are plenty of threads aimed at teaching new players the language and etiquette of CC, and I'm willing to bet he read them (they are stickied). It might do you some good to read them as well, then you'll realise it's poor form to accuse players of cheating just because they are more clever than you were. Making completely unfounded claims like this should result in a forum ban.

It is soo out of the ordinary to see this kind of behavior from a new recruit that I for one believe it is justified to ponder the question of whether or not this is a user with just one account.

While your excuses do hold leverage and very well may be the case, I think the coincidences surrounding this user and a person who has already had familiarity with CC raises a flag and will have no harm if their is no foul.

A simple request for an IP check to be conducted because this sort of behavior is out of the ordinary is justifiable.

At least the accuser put just cause in requesting this accusation and not "This guy beat me, hes too good, he must be a cheat". The target audience that does that is the one that is manipulating the C&A forum for their own vindictive bidding and should be the butt of the punishment that you suggested

Heh, thanks to a wall flower who told me about this thread.

LOL at the conversation in the middle. (I was a bit confused by that too BTW)

I of course have been on many forums. But always with only one identity. BBC code is pretty simple. Though I was unfamiliar with how the list code worked.(but the forum itself causes that code to be autoput in, in suggestions, and I figured it out from there)

Winning games? I like to think I was just good. But maybe I was just lucky. I will need more games to see.

Actually, I have only watched a risk 2210 game once, learning how to play as they played. Never played/learned regular risk. It looked like a really fun game. I didn't mention that because it meant adding irrelevant detail to the thread. Because I liked people thinking I was smarter then maybe I actually am and thought it up myself And because I couldn't remember the exact name of the game.

But I am a idea person. I can be very proficient with ideas of games that I play. My mind is often breaking apart pieces of things and trying to see how whatever can work better. But I actually often hold back ideas for games that I play because I find people get offended by so many ideas coming from someone who just started. And of course, the inspiration of risk 2210.

And yeah, I read help stuff and asked questions. Though I must say I had a hard time with the instructions, so boring and confusing that I found it hard to read straight through. So I asked questions &/or figured it out myself in leu of actually making sure the information wasn't there by reading line by line. Sorry.

I must say, this is probably the most flattering accusation I have have ever had leveled at me. By all means, check my IP, see how I am just naturally awesome (no charge for that BTW )

his playing ability is credited to the fact that he did read some strategy guides
BBC is easy, i never posted in the forums for a while bu when i did it took me seconds, AND he points out the [list] code is confusing which was the hardest for me personally when i was new
