I'm sorry that you don't see that clarifying the difference for you between my old abuse report about you, (which you and others referenced before I referred to them) and discussing the difference between my anger then and my reasonableness now, IS different than me "bringing up personal issues," and I'm sorry that you saw my comparison of then and now as "complaining about mods" when in fact, I included a few compliments about them in my pm to you.

As the girls stream out of the school clutching their 4 grade A's (for everyone gets an 'A' now don't you know) out pops David from his modified Ford Escort with a bouquet of roses in one hand, a bottle of vodka in the other while wearing a T shirt saying 'Are you legal???'

Mr Changsha wrote:With regards to the case, this isn't farming as the rule clearly states that farming only includes new recruits. So our hunters will have to decide whether to extend the farming rule to include continuously playing the low ranked/inexperienced. Looks like David is the test case. Well done that man! I've always wanted to be a test case for something over than a psychological disorder! Maybe one day I can be a CC test case! Woot!

Society of Cooks teachers (as do other individuals and groups) continually supervise or play with low ranked/inexperienced players, so any decision in this case must be carefully weighed.

Also I have often advised players to go to LIve Chat Callouts to hunt for a real time game (as is recommended in the introductory pms from admin), so I wouldnt want to see this avenue in anyway adversely effected by any decision made regarding this case.

Agreed, agreed; but taking a peek at your games history vs. David's, I see quite a difference... don't you?

I wasnt referring to MY game history - I supervise more than directly play with students - I don't want to see a witch hunt as a result of this thread

yeah,

People bring up unrelated stuff, which includes misinformation, in order to discredit my original query, so I respond, so hrett says it's anger, so I respond, so he misconstrues, so I say so... so he's um.. "hitting a nerve"

Again, Captain, I look at your history, and history of others who instruct those who want some help, and I see quite a difference in game history between yours and Gen.LeeGettinhed... don't you?

Don't you think mods are smart enough to determine the difference, also?

Why should there be a "witch hunt" if it's legal; and if it's not, I would think you would want the illegal persons hunted down so that your students can relax and know that they'll find the quality, if sometimes painful, instruction you want for them.

If you admire the tactic, I assume you think it's gonna be fine for him, so perhaps you should encourage David to join SoC once this thread is cleared.

CC admin and Star,

One of the biggest issues is your data is out of context:
- are not callouts and PM's for discussing game settings?
- the focus is on what she can gather on game chat -- NOT based on discussions with dozens of people I have talked to and discussed the maps afterward IN LIVE CHAT PMs. We talk ALL THE TIME, and several have joined another site I play at. Isn't this comraderie what CC claims to want?
- EVERYONE seems to think that the "* * * NOTE TO KING ACHILLES: PlayerX was a XXXX with XX completed games -- Not a NEW RECRUIT" is a symptom of my sinisterism...is is a DIRECT RESPONSE to dingdongs overly concerned about my play and to PROVE to CC Admin and save them time from LOOKING IT UP -- so ANYONE that checked would KNOW I was playing legally (since some people have nothing better to do than criticize)
- this would make a LOT more sense if it was delivered as "DH pushes the envelope on near-farming with his Orchard Tendering", but has been made a FARCE because it was delivered as a personal attack by and furthered by self righteous right wing fascists that "have to have everybody do things THEIR way" -- and anyone who disagrees is WRONG. FOR EXAMPLE: it's like she doesn't like speeding, the speed limit is set at 55, I drive 54 and she wants it lowered to 30 -- or no speed at all. Think about it.
- If people would check thoroughly, I check on the rules, analyze ways to excel and PUSH THE ENVELOPE.
- CC, in real life I find ways of doing MANY things better than almost anybody I met. I won't ever be conquerer, but have abided by rules in place.
- and as for LURING...what the heck is wrong TALKING with people before a game? hey, if you don't like a radio station there are two nobs. One for changing the channel, one for turning it OFF.
- As far as TALKING to people, more than once I have asked CC admin to discuss in a live Live Chat PM with me. They ignore that and tend to act in a vaccuum. Also, why not talk with some of the friends I've made here by helping them? read the Favorable comments and you'll find some, I'll get you others.
- Finally, more than one person has communicated to me "she's obsessed....(complaint is) insanity...she does this stuff constantly". That is not me flaming, it is me communicating to CC admin what others have said.

As a matter of interest, do you explain beforehand how you will 'teach' them?

And seeing as you are one for examples.......when a fox is picking off my chickens, I usually shoot it. :D

Listen, David asks people if they want to play a game against him; and they have every right to either agree or not agree to the game. I agreed to David's game, looked at David's game, and I knew what type of game I was getting into BEFORE I joined the damn game! I don't understand why someone would want to waste CC's time on investigating "farming" issues. If the Admin decides against David on this issue, let's face it, everybody in Live Chat Callouts will be under suspicion of "farming"...these are games. They are for fun. Let's have fun!

What's the big deal about rank/points anyway. Maybe, therein, lies the majority of the problem--is that people are focused more on ranks and points then on having an enjoyable game together.

If CC tries to clean their website up by targeting suspected "farmers", it will completely ruin the fun of this site.

It would kind of be like flossing your teeth with barbed wire...

It always has been legal and still is legal.... Until CC changes the rules, then there is nothing they can do about it. You are trying to fight a losing battle. If you wish to make this illegal there are other forums for that. This is not the place for it.

Bruce, I'm not trying to fight a battle at all, I'm asking a question, based on tactics it appears David uses, that others don't, that seem questionable.

If it has been and still is legal, the mods would've made that determination, cleared David, locked the thread --- hopefully giving me five minutes, first, to apologize to David for the supposed aspersion of his character in the same thread where I made the accusation in order to find out if his tactic is legal or not.

If you wish to fight a battle that no one should ever accuse anyone when they have a suspicion, ask a question when they want an answer, express an opinion when they have a different one than you, well, Bruce, this isn't the forum for that.

i have played several games with and against DH. and i have not always been low-ranked. We won some team games together, and i have lost a few games to him as well, but i have also won a couple. and every time i had a question he answered it. DH, has helped me learn some things about the site and about some of the maps we have played on. And im glad that he is there to answer questions that i might have.
RIP Sunshine </3 You are missed more than you know.

Sometimes I wonder if you really do read the rules....

"Obviously any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games or deliberately benefiting from thrown games, intentional deadbeating, holding players hostage, serial teammate killing, hijacking accounts, systematically "farming" new recruits."

Since you wish to keep coming back to this statement lets take a look at it. See the bolded part. That is what is not legal anything else is per CC rules right now.

and to quote lack....

""Newbie Farming" is the technique of setting up as many games as possible (either by starting or joining them) with New Recruits to gain easy points by taking advantage of difficult game options and the fact the New Recruits are more likely to deadbeat. Some players have been farming extensively - even sending hundreds of PMs to the latest members to get them into their games."

Nowhere does it say anything about low ranks. BTW what is a low rank? Who defines what is low and not?

Please stick to the rules if you wish to use C&A. If you wish to debate what is farming or not, take it to the proper forum. This is not the time or place.

yes, Bruce, let's look at the bolded parts, as I've stated for you several times. Let's also look at what I accused: gross abuse and farming

The question remains, do David's tactics fall under gross abuse, which is not limited to farming?

This is the place to ask that question, or the mods would already have closed the question.

Hmm... given that logic, multihunting should be disbanned, too; after all, it's just a game, and the multis are just having fun.
