OK, slick the way you put the commanders on the map, but now you'll have to define what borders what. For instance, can Castro directly assault Habana or Batista? (I'm hoping not)

So, put something in the cleared space perhaps in the lower left that states that commanders and cities border each other and the territory they are in, but only territories border adjacent territories.

Other than that, well as I said before it's a shootout, but it's an evenly distributed shootout. Hard for it to be otherwise with such a small map, I suppose. Not my thing but I think there are a large faction of players out there who would enjoy it.

So clarify the bordering for the commanders and I'll be satisfied. Good work ;)

I do not think this is the best way. will be standard +3 units valid?

if yes look how quickly can be someone eliminated. if Batista go before F. Castro he has 6 at start, +2 autodeploy and +3 standard. so 11 against 6 and if Batista will attack F. Castro here is big chance that this will be end of F. Castro.

and if standard +3 is not valid, still 8 against 6 could means that after Batista´s attack F. Castro could be eliminated in the second round.

Hmmm, still need to be a bit clearer I think. Such as "Commanders *only* border the territory they sit upon" (if that's the case). If the Commanders also border the city in their territory, then you'll need more words...

I think TB, that it's more like 11 vs. 3 vs. 3 vs. 6; although it's true that I was assuming a standard bonus. Anyway, it's still a somewhat decent chance of a first-round elimination or making yourself vulnerable to one if you fail. But that's the small map game, and there are people who like Battle Royales and Doodle Earth for the sheer chaos I guess :)

How about "Commanders are inside the territory they sit on"? I know it's a little longer, but you have the room there. Or at least something along those lines.

See, I'm slightly opposed to this. I mean... there's no disclaimer on Classic saying Eastern Australia only borders western australia and New Guinea.

Shouldn't it be obvious seeing as those are the only things they border?

Anyway, I'll do it in a minute.

Done.

If it was obvious then TB wouldn't be confused. And sorry, but Classic's layout and this are about as related as an orange is similar to a grapefruit. Good legends avoid putting the burden of (possibly false) assumptions on the player. I had to assume that the commanders didn't border each other. Incidentally, a more accurate comparision would be Supermax Prison Riot- and using that as a guide, the commanders would border.

Btw, although this clears up whether a player has to go through the territory neutralls to reach another player, I want to make doubly certain then that you mean for the Commanders to only border "The Territory That They Sit On" and do not border the Cities directly. Is this correct?

That's correct... they all border territories.

Perhaps then you could add in cities in the instruction ("Commanders and Cities Only Border the Territory They Sit On").

Anyway, besides that everyone in GP seems okay with the map so...

Congratulations Helix! Now get this map pack rolling so the Red Tide can go Beta :)

OK, the plan is to retire this one until i get Russia sorted out and then sweep in on China and Cuba with a good idea of graphics scheme.
