I love this map. Gameplays great and it looks great. One gripe. I have never worn glasses and have above average vision. I literally need to squint and lean in to my monitor to make out some of the names. They are blurry or something. I cant imagine if I actually had vision issues... Anyway, great map.

Thanks glad you like it.
The font style was a big point of discussion a while ago. I just couldn't find anything I liked better.

You could use the larger map, or is it the large map you are having difficulty with?

I've tried both. The letters just sorta seem to bleed into one another. Not a huge deal. I'll learn the names after a few games and it wont be an issue.

Sorry HungrySomalia. I used a pixel font so the names would be very clear. I added some shading & drop shadow to them so they would stand out from the background. The "video-game" style font kind of bothered some people, but overall I think the community liked it.

Thought I would update my thread with something interesting. A design company from Charleston, SC found my CC map through a google search. They contacted me and asked if I would create a Charleston map for their new webpage, in the same style as the CC Charleston map. Only 1280px wide, and a lot less regions, and no army circles. ;) It was pretty cool. A map of mine about to published on real city webpage.

*If you recognize the font, it's the same font I used for the Centerscape map :)

Click for the 1280px map.

Nice one, Rj. I don't agree on that font for the map, but looks great (per usual). ;)

Woah RJ … I know this is a big bump, but on your GreaterCharleston.com map you spelled it "Sulivan's Island" with only one L. :P

I'm new her and I've been looking at a lot of the maps people have made and a lot of them have poor graphics and are confusing. I love risk, and this is the best map I've seen so far. I can't wait play it. It looks like the games will be great. I turned 21 with some friends and a cooler full of brews on the sandbar off sullivan's island, I never thought there would be a risk map of this city. Great job.

This is probably my favorite map on the site (bias due to being my hometown) so just wanted to drop in and pay my respects
