All this talk of red hot chilli peckers. I'm sure it would take more than just merely holding your appendage, so what were you really doing in the bathroom? That said, I've accidentally scratched my nads with Deep Heat on my hands - that's a tear-jerker.

My favourite author's from Iowa. Bill Bryson, top geezer.

We are in Ankeny, the Des Moines metro. My wife has been hinting she would like to move back that way, but probably Indiana. We have a lot of family in Michigan still. she has a sister in Indiana and Illinois she would like to be closer to. there was some uncertainty in her job and she had started talking to some head hunters. the biggest reason we have not relocated is my business. it is hard to leave something she has watched me put 9 years of sweat into. i have risen to the top of my industry and I am the go-to expert in the area, if not the State. We are also talking about moving out into the country and getting some land, but we would still be close to Des Moines as that is where she works and most of my business is.

I grew up 30 minutes or so east of Lansing and she grew up in the Flint area. i went to Central Michigan and she went to Eastern Michigan. We moved to Iowa in 2003, her in the spring, me in the fall.

Hey, if you think it's harmless to hold it, go ahead and try! :D (we're talking about real deal chilis here)
If you never went for a wee after touching freshly cut chilis; have you ever scratched your eye? well same thing, but make it a cajun saussage.

I used to play an online browser game called Utopia, one of the early ones, been around since 1998.
I personally know one married couple who met in the game (Denmark, and Texas US, hah), and several others who were couples. My cousin had two girlfriends from the US, and one from Ireland from the game, and were not talking phone-relationships here, he had them over, or went to visit several times a year :)
That was years ago, but I'd guess that finding people on the net, through games or otherwise will just become more and more common. The way I hear friends and co-workers talking dating-sites seems to be seen as a everyday thing now, not something to whisper about :)

Oh and at least one person in my clan is seeing a CCer from a different country. Not my place to name names though ;)

Fly Cupid, fly and shoot straight !
Love will find a way :D O:)

I must be doing something wrong. So far I have only met blokes from CC (Dako and Macbone). I did once chat up a girl in our Taunton office who came all the way by train to see me (back in my UK days) for a dirty weekend. Aahh, telephones. Now I'm reminiscing.

Grandad out.

Yeah, it's really not all that strange. I have a school friend who met her husband similarly to how Serbia met his wife. I think I told Serbia about that one. They struck up a friendship and because my friend had family living near him, she went to visit quite often. It wasn't a date over the internet thing, they had genuinely just become really good friends and it developed into love over several months of meeting. We were still in highschool back then, but between the UK and Ireland, it wasn't impossible. A little over 10 years since then and they're married with kiddies.

It's probably less risky than dating sites in a way, because it's built on friendship. Good luck to them. Heh!

My wife graduated from Flushing. Her mom still lives in the house she grew up in. Her Dad passed away a few years ago. we are there at least once a year.

I was in the Omaha Metro area, Council Bluffs or Council "Tucky" Iowa if you will, ha! Grew up in Livonia and was in Iowa from 95-98. Great place to live if you want a slightly slower pace for sure.

I would like to point out that I have not accepted a place in TOFU and i will take some time making a decision. They offered me the opportunity to check out their forum and I did not see the harm in that. However, I did not know realize their letters would end up by my name though. i have received a lot of messages regarding interest in me and I appreciate that. I like to keep my game count around 10 and I have 4 ongoing tournaments I am at this time so i don;t have much space to add games with to many people. I will be contacting some clans to set up games as I want to make the best decision.

Thank you all. this has been fun and interesting all ready....and a bit overwelming.

The irony would be rather substantial.
You see, ol Chariot went on a raid once upon of time and relieved another clan of their wonderful ladies.
I suppose we could take the best of KORT as well :D Though that bed in Hongkong is liable to get a bit crowded I fear.
I'll send Dako over with the paperwork.
Nothing too serious, just along the lines of
"We 100% serious yada yada yada, we'll never go back to KORT yada yada yada, we'll serve faithfully for a year in hongkong, cook, clean, and roll 6's yada yada yada (mowing the lawn obviously won't be a problem)"
Oh.. ah, why do we still have that bit about the dice in there? As of DakoDice 1.6 it's rather obsolete. I'll set Dako to revising and updating before we get the pens out.

Come join the dark side ladies, we have cookies. And the cookie monster for that matter! :D

You don't realise how apt this is. I reckon owning a lawnmower is the ultimate status symbol in Hong Kong.

I heard about that. Space is pretty limited, so actually having a lawn to mow is rare!

It'll take a lot more than cookies. Jaffa cakes at least. Haha! We're a tough crowd because no one has actually left Kort willingly. (GLG lol)

I'm interested in this hospitality trial, but cooking, cleaning and being 100% serious is not attractive. If you're giving Chris the benefit of seeing the hospitality, you can do the same for us. You guys would have to be more persuasive. At least supply jaffa cakes. Kort treats us waaaay better than that. Nimic keeps eating all the jaffa cakes though.

We do have an art gallery (though I use that term in the loosest sense) displaying pictures of freakns in various poses that he's been sending us over the years.

No need, Shannon. As long as you're a female, you have to fight freakns off with a stick. Pictures are free and plentiful! Or so I've heard. ;)
