Now I know my limit, and that "Hey, after X beers, I shouldn't even walk, let alone drive..." or "Hey, after Y beers, I'll be so wasted I'll be fucking dead! I better stop at X-Z so I'll still be able to find my way home..." Understand? O, I'm also French.

So, regardless of whether it is in current parlance, it is indeed correct, though out-dated.
