Bump because 1v1 still sucks on half the maps on CC, and nobody want's to just TRY and fix it due to the "principles". of the foundry.

What percentage of this site is playing 1v1 games ? Take that same percentage of money that we pay and FIX this. ;)

There is only one person who is able to change the coding of the game engine; it's got nothing to do with what the foundry does or doesn't want :P

I'm pretty sure that if this suggestion was supported by the foundry then lack would take a hard look at it. I was under the impression that once the maps went live lack had control over them. The only valid excuse I can see would be if the original maker of the map was the only one who could change it. Some of the old mapmakers aren't around anymore (I thought T-O-M had left or been booted or something), meaning that changing the map at all would be impossible.

I love the idea and I do think that it wouldn't be that hard to implement. I don't get the "we can't make random neutrals" excuse because every 1v1 map has territories at the beginning that are neutral. For example, if a map has 30 territories and is coded so that each player gets 12 to start and there are 6 neutrals, randomly distributed, how hard would it be to change it to 11 each and 8 neutrals?
