In addition to the 4 game casual limit, I believe it would be awfully nice to let freemiums join 1 speed game each day. How's that sound? O:) O:) O:) O:) O:)

I saw that on another site so thought to mention it aqui

The only problem is that that is practically allowing them to play speed games but maybe once a month?

Ahh darn I click submit and it shows someone just said it...

actually i have been thinking it over and i think freemiums shouldnt get speed games, its a privilege and we should have to pay for it. although i do think an increase in casual games would be fair.

if that's the case I'd rather like an increase in casual game limit

Perhaps new recruits should just be premium. After five games, which they can play in an hour or a year, their accounts are converted to free. That might encourage them to stay becuase they would have had a taste of ALL the sites features.

And what of the other "freemiums"?

Surely they were new recruits at one time...why should they miss out on this?

I think that if freemiums (including me) can contribute something significant to this site (besides money), then they deserve some kind of reward...

I have a freemium friend who can some how pull of playing lots and lots of games so I don't think freemiums need a increase but I am not against one I just don't think it's urgent...

Why give them anything? Are you going to give premiums something as well? In what way do these freemiums provide resources so they can play? OH...nothing...we subsidise them and then it is suggested we give them more? Why should we?

Simply becuase they are still here... They don't need convincing to stay...

Visit the map foundry and try making a map...If your map makes it to live play I believe you're rewarded for it :)

Except there would be many problems with multis....accounts getting converted to freemium so the person just makes a new account instead. Otherwise that probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Freemiums, and really all members, are rewarded for playing on this site---take a look at all the new maps we get from time to time. That's surely a reward, yes? We aren't all playing the same few maps again and again (unless it's by choice). The Maps that come out of the Foundry I think are one of the biggest rewards/gifts/what have you to the site as a whole, Premiums and Freemiums included.

touche! but that is why i think the casual game limit should be 5 games, i dont think its great enough to make a freemium member ship anywhere close to a premium, but at the same time would be nice. not like ill quit the site if you dont (the fact that you can play for free is a good enough gift for me personally) but i think it would be nice.

The only problem I can see with that is that if it was raised then a while down the road someone will say "well why not six", and then "why not 7", and it would keep going. There will always be somebody who wants more.

Yeah I agree as well, but also would like to point out that maybe Lack should look into offering premium exclusive maps. There are over 100 maps that we have and everyone can play them. What if half or a quarter of them were exclusive. That would be an incentive to purchase premium.

I'm planning on it after I get back from the store. Freemiums like to complain about what they don't get and in reality they should be grateful for what have. Really, Freemiums are just testing out the site to see if they like it. It's a free sample at the store.

Having that 1 speed game per day will allow them to get more interested, and I'm sure it'll get more people to stay and eventually buy premium.

if you're suggesting that new recruits find it annoying when they join 4 8 player seq games, maybe instead, we could limit new recruits from playing mass games, since they're more likely to deadbeat anyway, giving the person who started the game a ton of free points. let new recruits play only 1v1s, 2, 3, or 4 person games. after they get their rank, then they can join the bigger games.

This will never happen... mind if i quote lack?

Conquer Club will always be free to play. I have no intention to force everyone to get Premium, and I only expect a minority to upgrade.

this is true, and for now i maybe just the guy who is pushing it one step more, but i do think five would be nice. like i said, its not like i really care, just a small preference that doesnt make much of a difference.

Lack has stated before why "4" games is the standard---because to leave behind "New Recruit" and become a Rank, you need to stick around for 5 games. He did this to weed out all the players who sign up, join 4 games, play some, forget some, and then forget to come back. They never join the "ranked" population.

while i respect the idea of trying to give a little more sampling of the game, some who play speed games might want freemiums in speed games because it would be an awfully easy way to score points.

certainly some can hold their own, but any that stumbled into a speed freestyle game would usually not even know what happened.

If anything, they should get just enough to give them a taste of speed games, to make them cough up the $25.
