I really want this to go through... 1-2 min is more than enough for almost all speed games.

I don't see why it would be any problem in adding several options on the round length

i know you are very far in thinking of the point i will make for sure. Anyways what i am afraid of is this 1 minute 2 minutes speed games wud create more farmers but this time farming wud turn from newbie farming into corporal and less or even sergeant farming. Believe me there will be a group of players which will perfect themselves in some spesific maps in high speeds....

I think that farming is solve,with some new restrictions for high ranked players.

Any way,these is free decision for any player,if player think that 1 minute its enough ,then he will take 1 minute, if think that need 5 minute then he will take 5 minute. I dont see any bad things abouth these idea.

Lots of players don't think it's silly, and nobody is going to force you to play anything. I can see 1-minute Doodle Assassins. World 2.0 is a map that would be better with a full 5; I like the idea of options, and I really hope this happens!

you dont see any bad n this cos you are not a thief. You are a clean and trusty, also a player who cares about rules and conveniences... So it doesnt seem to you anything wrong here.. But thieves always look for gaps to infiltrate in, they always try to catch the weakness of system. That is why you most probably can not see mate .. This idea is perfect but also will create new problems.

Its a sugestion,who can be create in maybe 3 option-1 minute-3 minute-5 minute.

1 min speed games

well in some games u pretty much start ur turn and do nothing until the last like 10 secs of the game well what if they had an optioin of one min speed games so u wouldnt do nothing for 4 min u would just sit around for like 30 sec

Only on certain maps in my opinion. On maps like BJ one minute is often not enough to even access the map, decide what to do, and deploy your troops, even with clickies.

But then again, this would be a good challenge for some speed farmers who think they are up to it.

yea yea - suggested before but a bad idea...

I like the idea, it would be good in some circumstances, but on large maps (or even smaller maps when one player is dominating and will clearly win) 1 minute would just not be enough. People wouldn't have time to move properly. It would slow the game down, not speed it up.

Also, people with faster computers would have an advantage, just because things load faster for them. Bad idea.

These is only a initial idea,we can create with all 5 options,or with 3 options.
After that people can take what think is best option for play. People who have skils to play fast can take 1 minute, and people who have moderate skill can take 3 or more minute to play. ;)

One big thread is more likely to get attention than numerous little ones.

I think alot of slower players are afraid they'll be left out of the action if this goes through. I don't think this will be the case; having a greater variety of game types can only improve the site, and slower payers will always be able to find partners.

If farming is the issue they're concerned with, why bother? This site is supposed to be fun, and the concept that people are doing suspicious things to improve "their ranks" certainly doesn't keep me up at night. Anyways, it's not OUR job to make sure that doesn't happen.

If you'd looked at the thread, you'd see that it's an older, more active thread which recommends being able to choose the time of your speed game, from between 1-5 minutes per turn.

Let's put all of our eggs in one basket and keep it active, rather than everyone who gets the idea starting his own thread, as I did, and now as you have.

like speed chess sort of.

and if a map is too big to finish in one minute then it would be a whole new strategy. I assume Extra time would still be given in an elimination anyhow so sweeps would still be alive in multi-player. I hope this keeps getting brought up, it may make me go for premium again. Along with a chat in the speed game room waiting area. :mrgreen:

I have recently started playing speed games, and this suggestion is VERY NEEDED. It seems like 2/3rds of the players I've faced since I've started speed games just drop out completely once the game starts to go against them. I had an opponent make some nasty comments and quit AFTER HIS ROUND TWO MOVES ON AFRICA.

This change would at least mean I wouldn't have to sit there for fifteen freaking minutes waiting for the bastard to be eliminated.

Like iambligt very good notice,im sugested that you have 5 speed time options,not to get rid of 5 minute options, im in many speed games(where you play with more then 2 player),been in possition to waith (expecialy in freestyle games) that almost all players waiting last 10-15 seconds, and that games instead to be speed,become very slow. When you play in standard games and when you play with 5-6-7-8 players,you need to waith to much long,and one turn can be played for less then one minute,ofcourse old features will stay same-get extra time for eliminate opponents. I think that these new speed will bring more chalenge, and that will for many people speed game realy become speed game.

What exactly are you talking about? It would be way too hard and far too crazy to implement options for different turn-timelengths in games? I'd have to disagree with that very much.

option for less time on speed games

It seems that many times, speed games, while they are only 5 min. per turn, are too long. With most freestyle games, it's 4:30 min of sitting around and 30 sec. of playing...if that. Why not add an option that allows for "super speed", with each turn lasting only 1 min?

Specifics: Add another option for premium players for a 1 min/turn speed game.

This will improve the following aspects of the site: It will allow more speed games to be played in a session on CC and eliminate the tedious waiting around for the last 13-30 sec of the turn to move. I feel this will have an overwhelming support, and make speed games that much more enjoyable...esp. freestyle assassin games.
