kc-jake wrote:An easy fix: anyone who deadbeats a terminator game loses points to everyone else playing, spread out evenly. If 4 other people are playing, he should lose 1/3 of the points he'd normally lose if that person conquered him, and each of those people should gain points.
For example, say red deadbeats. And say that under normal circumstances, if conquered by that color, red would lose 20 points to blue, 18 points to yellow, OR 29 points to green. In my solution, he would instead lose 6 points to blue, 6 points to yellow, AND 9 points to green, for a total of 21 points lost (approximately the average of the players' total points: (20+18+29)/3 = 67/3= 22). Those players would all gain those points, conserving the system's point average of 100 points per player.
If n number of players are playing, the 1/3 multiplier would change to a multiplier of 1/(n-1).
This would adequately discourage someone from deadbeating a terminator game they feel they couldn't win, but wouldn't cause inflation/deflation of points value.
