This is for CC related things. For something like that, I recommend you go to the clubhouse.

and why would a vista sidebar gadget for CC need to be discussed in a non-CC forum?

get greasemonkey, once you have installed the greasemonkey prgram itself then you can install the script, yeti will be along soon and will likely have the link lol!

Yes - Install it - and then Right click on your monkey - manage user scripts.

On the right hand side you will see the pages that BOB runs on - and you will see that it says *.conquerclub.com*

Replace that with the IP of your proxy.

Hey thanks. I tried this but it hasn't worked. The only change (I think) I found is the clock next to the time left which indicates the deadline for taking the turn.
Did I miss something? Perhaps it has something to do with the syntax? I replaced *.conquerclub.com* with *.1qcc.com* Is this correct?

That should work... - I guess it kindof depends what your url changes to when you get to CC?!

I've not done this - but the theory is there!

Let me try the url thingy. should I use the exact url fully as appears in the address bar?

Not quite - But if you use the first half of it (i.e. whatever replaces "www.conquerclub.com") then that should work...

However - it won't work for you actually... because BOB looks at the XML that is stored in... http://www.conquerclub.com/maps/

You will need to manually edit that too (find that directory with your proxy then paste it in) - sadly you'll have to do this for each version of the script...

Also - you may need to clean your cache down for new BOB to work correctly!!

Let me know how you get on.

I got to the "index of Maps" using the proxy. But I'm not sure what editing I need to do and where. By "script" you mean BOB script? I presume that means each time you upgrade I'll need to repeat the exercise?

Yeah sadly yes...

OK - if you goto bottom right hand corner... right click on the monkey...

Manage User Scripts

Select BOB - press edit... first time you will be asked to choose an editor... choose notepad (C:\windows\notepad.exe)

Then the script will load...

Search for http://www.conquerclub.com/map

Replace that URL - with your url...

This is what I did but it didn;t work:

==UserScript==
// @name Conquer Club - BOB
// @namespace http://yeti_c.co.uk/conquerClub
// @description Adds Stats, card counter, redemption value, animated clock, text based map, map inspection tools
// @include http://www.thedailyproxy.com/search.php ... bWFwcy8%3D

Again did I miss something?

Incidently the original address was http://www.conquerclub.com and not http://www.conquerclub.com/maps. I couldn't find that.

That is part of it...

But it;s this line you need to change...

Code: Select all
    GM_xmlhttpRequest({method: 'GET',url: 'http://www.conquerclub.com/maps/'+mapName+'.xml',headers: {'User-agent': 'Mozilla/4.0 (compatible) Greasemonkey/0.3 BOB' , 'Accept': 'application/xml,text/xml'},onload:

Couldn't find it. Whereabouts is it? At the beginning or is it part of the text you say should not be edited? In that case can you tell me where the slider would be approximately?

Found it! but didn't work. The url address is long which causes it to come into the next line. Does that affect the syntax? Man how do you guys write all this code!?

This is what it looks like:

GM_xmlhttpRequest({method: 'GET',url: 'http://www.thedailyproxy.com/search.php?q=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5jb25xdWVyY2x1Yi5jb20vbWFwcy8%3D/'+mapName+'.xml',headers: {'User-agent': 'Mozilla/4.0 (compatible) Greasemonkey/0.3 BOB' , 'Accept': 'application/xml,text/xml'},onload:
function(responseDetails)

you sure? I tried posting the url to a fresh page and it brought me straight to the Index of Maps page, which means the url seems to be correct without the 'maps' at the end. I'll give it a shot anyways
