I am currently running Firefox 3.6.3 and I do not think it is beta.

I haven't followed FF development lately, but I thought it wasn't decided whether 3.7 or 4.0 would be the next version. Haven't heared anything about a new beta yet.

Ah, it became FF4.0, first beta just released. http://www.conceivablytech.com/1572/pro ... -0-beta-1/
And I expect scripts to just work, but don't expect support for the beta's yet if something breaks.

Yes, if you want new add-ons so you have to install Firefox 3.6 beta (Version 1) and Version 2 is also available. It contains many new add-ons so you need latest version.
