The New Forum Organization...

As we've mentioned---some of the intermediate phases---like this Phase one, will feel a little strange. Just stick with us while we work on the next Phase---which we expect to roll out at the end of this month/beginning of the next month.

not much of a difference imho. i'm looking forward to some innovative changes in the future.

of course not, none of the users/regulars from any of the bumped up forums that have low traffic think it is that much of a big deal. but with the GD so low, it is surely going to start suffering from the same "elitist", "arrogant", "unfriendly" tags that the Forum used to suffer... ahem...-0

One suggestion. Put GD at the top, and whenever changes are made, leave it at the top. I believe GD is the most popular forum (I could be mistaken), if it is, it should come first.

no, no... it is only the most visited because it is on top... surely now the foundry will be the top forum visited... the arrogance is astounding... i like the additions, i find the shuffling of some forums above others and below others a bit peculiar and not a real fix as to why people don't visit those specific forums... the problem is far deeper than product placement... i can't wait to see the traffic results in a months time.. however, i still love the new additions and OP's move to make this an easier place to navigate...-0

I don't think it should be the goal of admin to make more people visit the other forums. If people enjoy this one, then that's enough. People visit GD because they just want to shoot the breeze, or say what's on their mind. I think that's why its most popular. Not everyone wants to make a map or do other stuff. I don't really see a need for major changes to the forums, most of us are happy with them, with the exception of General stoneham or whatever his name is.
