Either (or both) of these make sense to me. If you have the second, then I guess you wouldn't need the first.

As well as all the others previously mentioned.

I am ok with those 2 names as well, however, paradicecity9 was the 1st to 27 medals

I actually just suggested they make a separate forum for all records threads... It would make it so much easier to keep track of...and less clutter in the GD as well

CC Hall of Fame-its these only for game record or what?
I think that you need to look all aspect of CC,not only game references.
If you look only game aspect, then you need to put apropriate name, something like"CC Player Game Record Hall of Fame".
Present name give me feel that you look all aspect of CC(including Map Making, valuabile sugestions, tournament organising),but from yours sugestions, you only see people who play games, have medals, become Field marshals, have most game wins.
In Hall of Fame, you can have very normal game stats, but give big contribution to CC,then some FIeldmarshals ,who only play a games and dont do nothing else.

Umm do people really need MORE threads of Records?!Are we never happy people?Staying with the topic I would never admit anyone into the Hall of Fame that plays a majority of private games. You can argue all the reasons you like for doing this, the number 1 will probably be for better gameplay but I firmly believe its for automated moves, such things become mechanical when you play the same players day in day out.

good point. thats why there needs to be a group of players to run this so there are multiple views and opinions. Hall of fame members in my opinion should have a 3 year minimum of paid membership. thats prior to 2006 of June for those of you slow with the math.

Comic has been rated by under 90 players,to me this means he plays in a certain circle and doesn't venture into Public games so why should he be awarded something like being in the Hall of Fame?Sorry I had to use your name but it was the easiest example.I think the biggest thing here is playing against a good mixture of players weather they be the best or the worse.Beating the Best players regularly is in my eyes, alot easier than beating the Worse players regularly if ya ask me.You can predict what the good player is gonna do but who the hell knows what a Cook will do!!

This has been mentioned already. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of things like, announcers in the baseball hall of fame, etc. You got to a hall of fame to see who was the best in a sport or whatever, seems like they throw those other people in for sentimental reasons. Having said that, others might disagree, and if the committee decided to put in people who were not the best risk players, that's would be the committees decision I suppose.

I think a committee would be great. I don't see how being premium for 3 years is important though. Being premium doesn't make you a good player. And if you were premium last year and not this year, does that take away from your accomplishments.

i think that if a hall of fame were to be made today, i'd rather it be about game players, rather than site contributors.

no offense to them, but you already get a medal for every map/tournament you have. sure, special contributor medals are few and far between, but so are those members doing that much for the site.

as for whos in and whos out... you'll never really have a general agreement on who deserves it. for example, one person in the thread has said that someone playing only private games against top notch players is no good b/c they are making "automated moves" or something like that... but if a player achieves a high score by playing all players, then they're called a farmer...

a small group of players of all ranks should be put together for the task of deciding whos in and whos out.

The question is...is it a Hall of FAME or a Hall of SKILL? Two different things. Baseball has the former...which do we want?

Yes these is what im tried to explane, like in "CC Tournament Hall of Fame".
CC Hall Of Fame, its just name who related to all things in CC,that why you need to change in some apropriate name, like -CC Hall of Players,CC Player Hall Of Fame,or some other tittle.

Yes, was already discussed above. Opinions vary. To start with I think the hall of skill is good. Top players deserve to get in first. Then one year when no one jumps out as the obvious inductee, then you put in one of the guys who writes scripts, or makes maps or something. I think it would be more interesting to read about a player and how he managed to play well, then the latter.

Either way, i think that there should be some sort of short bio about the person. Either their time on cc, or whatever they would like to put in there.

I think he meant more a 3 year period with a decent amount of games played.
