I trust what I see and so far I haven't seen anyone providing any evidence that there is a problem with the dice.

The dice don't let me win every time, how can you NOT call this a problem???

On a more serious note, I'd like to correct 2 earlier statements

Actually they aren't pseudo random, they are true random numbers.

You are wrong, there are ways to generate true random numbers on a regular computer.

Please....elaborate, because it is impossible. They are always going to be pseudo-random. In fact, a random number is arguably not actually random because of the variables needed to make it random. i.e time and space.

Let's not go there please. It will just turn into a completely irrelevant discussion about belief systems. However the dice is both random and unpredictable enough for the purposes we use them.

Isn't random in the sense that your armies are assigned a code, if your algorithm is weak. you can loose heavily against a small army, who's algorithm is strong. So in that case, if you see you are losing heavily in an attack, you stop the attack and wait until another turn when the algorithims change or you attack from another direction.

Basically, don't bang your head against a brick wall.

I'm no expert on these things, but it just seems to run that way with the dice.

sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no algorythm. random.org sends random numbers to CC. thats all there is to it. you have an equal chance of getting a 6 after getting eight 1's as after getting two 5's. no algorythms, no codes.

So it's only a rumor that Random.org has thousands of employees
sitting around constantly rolling dice and recording in the results?

Dirty Dog wrote:It may look as if its not random, but it is, the problem is a dice does not have a memory.
To explain: Q: What is the probability of a dice rolling a 6 seven times in a row? A: 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/279936 or in other words VERY unlikely, now after the dice has rolled the seven 6's what is the probability that the 8th roll will be a 6? The answer is........... one in six. A DICE HAS NO MEMORY, this no memory fact is why people loose there life savings on roulette by believing if they double their bet and add one every turn they must win, as they wrongly believe that black can't come up 20 times in a row and if it does then the 21 time cant possibly be black again well it can be and will be 50% of the time.

Wait, that doesn't have anything to do with game-memory. It's just that noone has infinite wealth.
