Neutral Player?

Postby Donald Fung on Mon Aug 03, 2009 8:43 pm

Can anyone explain to me what is a neutral player? I understand it’s a white number on the map but how does a territory become neutral? And why are there different amounts of troops on different neutral territories?

PS: I like this game and the Conquer Club Community. It gives me something to do when I’m bored.

What maps have neutrals getting auto-deployed? I don't recall ever seeing this, and I make a point of playing every map.

but arms race! map starts with the warhead with 15 nuetrals. most maps, the position of nuetrals are random, however, some maps, like age of realms start of with a fixed number of nuetrals. you can attack a nuetral but it won't attack u! :D

The Hong Kong and World 2.1 map has neutral players having 3 troops on each land.

I've been in a game where a player was kicked out for I'm guessing multiple accounts. His troops went neutral, leaving a lot of armies stacked in his territories. Don't know if this answers any questions. In fact, I'm sure it will add to the confusion. LOL!

On certain maps like Waterloo, you can bombard / annihilate territories, and remove an opponent's armies from the area. The territory becomes a neutral 1 when all the opposing armies have been annihilated. :)

Unless it is purposely changed, the neutral will always be 3, or like obliterationx said 1 after bombardment.

They're deployed at the beginning of the game, but they are not "auto deployed also making them get more".

Some maps have territories which are seen to be too valuable to give initially to any player, so they are always assigned neutral troops to start. For the purposes of better gameplay, some maps assign more than 3 troops to these neutral starting positions, letting them often serve as initial barriers between territories.

Apart from these neutral starting positions, the territories on any map are divided as evenly as possible among the players. Any odd territories are assigned neutral troops.

However, when you start a two-player game, the system actually divides the territories into three groups, as evenly as possible, with one of the three groups being assigned neutral troops. This helps to avoid giving too many troops for territories and bonuses held at the beginning of the first turn which would give the first player an enormous advantage. Again, any odd territories are assigned neutral troops.
