The reason you cannot argue with me effectively is that you have only partial information, and choose your arguments based on that.

As I've said; if you do not believe changes are needed, fine; others do believe changes are needed.

So, to quote you, "Seriously, let it go..."

Would you feel the same way about it if you *never* hit first? If, the only reason you were a repeat offender is because you had to defend yourself against more than one other repeat offender because dear ol' teach never stopped it?

You are mistaken; it won't be the last time, I'm sure.

edit:

It wasn't the first mistake you've made in this thread; you were actually mistaken enough to believe this is about someone who wasn't cautioned for flaming me for making a dumb move in a gamestyle he already knew I was unfamiliar with; doubly mistaken for thinking I was defending my move.

Was there a requirement for you to defend yourself in a manner that broke the rules?

Any retort at all (to some fairly vicious sounding off) was considered "baiting" because it would set the instigator into a stream of more of it. As 'baiting,' any response in defense could be considered a violation of rules. Often my retorts were along the lines of, "You're mistaken," "that's untrue," but again, would set the instigator off into more streams of invectives. On occasion, my retorts got heated, usually in response to suggestions of being violently raped and such; hearing those things might be "fun and games" among boys on this site, but aren't necessarily fun for women. They certainly weren't fun for me.

People who are not on the mods bad list get away with things others don't. I don't know what gets someone on the bad list, perhaps talking bad about a mod or maybe just a name that reminds a mod of someone who picked on them in school. Either way if they are on the bad list then they get disciplined.

Imagine if everyone in the US was breaking a law constantly and the police and judge worked privately together punishing the users as they see fit, without having public court cases or any court case at all.

Who would get punished? Only the people that the police felt like policing, which is those they don't like or feel are bad people. I have no doubt stahr could have received the treatment he talks about. This is also Andy's public stance... if you don't like it then leave. He doesn't care, he has 19,000 active members. If all of the active forum members left or were banned he would still probably have at least 12,000 active game members, and people coming in daily who would love an opportunity to post on the forums.

There is no competition yet and with so many members there is no way for this site to die. We need world domination, even if some of us are strong enough to stick it to the man we need this place because there is no where else to go to get our fix. It's going to be hard getting them to change when they don't need to.

We all are just going to have to wait for the competition to grow, then either jump ship or reap the benefits of new polite and reasonable mods/admins as they try to get us to stay.
