Map Rank Scoreboard anomaly[?]

I recently found the map rank script, and it's a fun little add-on. I played around a bit with the map rank scoreboard server, and I found something odd (at least to me):

show: Scoreboard, single-seq-flat

The top players don't seem to be doing very well at all on this setting. Demonfork, Herpes, Karelpietertje, Blitzaholic... they're all cooks, and some are even below 0.
I'm absolutely not trying to belittle anyones skill - it's just something that struck me as a bit strange.

So... what am I missing? How can this be?
What does it mean?
Nothing?

It means that flat rate is purely based on luck

it only means that its not a gametype that is likely to propel you to the top of the scoreboard... and there are ALL sorts of interesting things you can determine with maprank...
