i had slightly over 100 a little while back.

ive bad between 40 and 80 over the past few months.
thats ridiculous

i need to get down to 20.

i used to create/join around 30 then have them drop down to under ten then i get into 20 new ones and drop back and keep repeating.
but since march ive gone overboard. my stalemates i dont even look at the map anyway. i just mindllessly click the button 3 times and hit end turn

I've gone up to 120 or so, with just under 50 waiting.

I'll to keep it around 100 total...but don't plan on joining many new non-tourney games now that school has restarted again.

Looks like he has the lead. Don't forget people who point dump. There have been people with over 100 games who were just missing turns to point dump. If there is going to be a top 5, and we know someone *cough* blitz will make a list, then people with less than 99 or 98% turns taken shouldn't be counted.

I've only gotten slightly over 60 myself, and that was too much.

No top 5 list here

Just curiosity

I am down to 236 so maybe I am not headed to the 300 mark

It is common for me to have 200-250 active games. Almost always over 100 games although im only at 80 games right now. I dint really join alot of games the past couple days due to being busy at work. Dint really have time to even log on. It depends on the type of games you join. I just recently had a 50 game series on AOM with no cards. So simply deploying and moving onto the next game only takes a few seconds.

50 speed games a week? You average 63 completed games per week. You only play speed games ? I dont see how you average 300 games in active and play 50 speed games with a 63 completed games per week ? Something doesnt add up.

A member for over 2 years with a total of 2600 games total. That math does not add up. Are your sure you have the right name?

I have been around 250. 173 currently and at times it drives me nuts. I often take my turns too quickly without really thinking. With all these tournament games though its almost impossible for me to get under 100.

I've never had more than 23-24 going at a time..currently have 21 and consider that a comfortable amount.

I can't say I understand the urge to play 100 games+ at a time.

I suppose you do buid up some bulky records, but many of these kinds of players (especially if they are playing large numbers of different maps and styles) are not exactly setting the world on fire with their win percentages. It says to me: 'Chap who has played thousands of games on numerous styles...none successfully.'

Of course I know the response is 'hey I just play for fun' but the more you think about the game the better you play and surely playing something well is a large part of what makes a game enjoyable? I hate the idea of playing a dumb move and causing a game to get fucked up..doing so would not make the game fun for me at all. Yet if you are playing 200+ games I find it hard to believe you aren't making bad moves all over the place. I've certainly seen these kinds of players messing up entirely/missing key turns in the games I play.

Believe it or not I'm not trying to get at anyone...just making an observation.

Though I agree that it is hard to spend the necessary time at some games and maybe not think out moves thoroughly (which for the most part I do do) and that my ranking might suffer slightly I rarely miss any turns. 99% of turns taken is better than and Highlander has a 100% turn taken average.

However, it is sad sometimes when you sacrifice sleep so that you won't miss any turns in a conquerclub game.

I can't recall my highest, but I suspect it was just north of 50. I find that any more than 30, and I really lose my ability to care about them, opting for the get-these-fucking-turns-taken-as-quickly-as-possible mentality. Now, I strive for a low game count. I managed to get down to 5 the other day, before a couple tourneys started their new rounds.

Believe it or not, I don't make as many mistakes as you would think, but I do agree, I do make some. Mainly because I sometimes hurry. Most of the games I play I actually have some kind of photographic memory that remembers what is going on.

One good thing is there are a few people that state they have hit 500 active games at one time. I promise I will never get there and I do want to get my games back between 60-80. I spend way too much time on this.

I also agree here. I mainly start rushing some turns as I dont care about them as much. I also get frustrated easily.

It's especially frustrating when you miss an easy kill that could have given you all the cards you needed to sweep, and even more frustrating when you didn't even see an almost-dead teammate that you could have saved by dumping or forting him/her.

For me, I used to mass join around 70-50 but then I started dropping... FAST. I just narrow down to few maps now. I can't play CC due to exams, so I started to stop joining around 1 month ago. This is where speed games and rt games really come in handy.

I've always been curious as to how many mistakes were made across the board when having a large number of games to play...

you guys are crazy.

i thought i had it tough when i played 110 at one time. when i woke up in the morning to take my turns, it was no fun. it was like work. so now i keep it below 50. and play a bunch of speed.

I've got ~80 team games going on right now.

Pretty fun to strategize and take turns slowly -- said games don't really go fast either. It's not as if they are intense freestyle 1 vs 1s.
