Dice modification plugin -- Accepting beta testers

Postby bedub1 on Thu Sep 24, 2009 12:54 pm

I just wanted to let everybody know, that I have been doing some very interesting work, and have finally managed to create a plugin that will give you perfect dice. It's a USB device, that you plug into your TV. Don't ask how it works, it just does. No, I'm not going to patent it, because then everybody in china would have one for free after ripping off my intellectual property.

Fine, I'll explain how it works. First, you have to hack random.org. That's difficult though, as they are on the lookout. So you can't hack them through normal channels IE via the internet. Instead you have to slip inside the back door. The way I've accomplished this, is through your TV. The device is hooked to the TV, the signals are piggy-backed on the tv signal the other direction, back towards the source. From the TV station, the signal travels via the power lines. I found this is the best location to slip data past firewalls, as everybody firewalls the internet, but nobody firewalls their power outlets. So the signal then travels to random.org via power lines. Once it is inside their building, it actually becomes visible light via the lights in the building. The hack data transmission causes a flicker in the lights, which is absorbed by their touchscreen monitors as input. (Touchscreen monitors are not secure). This input travels to the storage and transmission of the random numbers they generate. Keep in mind, the numbers random.org generates are in fact random, and there is no way around that, so I have instead hacked at the storage/transmission location. Using my hack, only the "good" numbers are transmitted to conquerclub for your dice, and only the bad numbers are transmitted to conquerclub for your opponents dice. So far I am running at 15% above "normal" dice. With the next firmware version, I expect to be at about 27% above normal. I am working on the "perfect dice" but some dude in there with a massive afro keeps getting in the way of the touchscreen monitors, sometimes blocking the data transmission.

Right now though, I am faced with a problem. I have been unable to play enough games to test this out thoroughly, and I need additional funding for the manufacture of the plugin's. So if you would like to be one of my beta testers, I need you to buy me free premium.

Well what you pay Lack for, is very similar. When the numbers come into CC, lack then "hacks" them so that you get the good numbers and your opponent gets the bad numbers. I choose not to great a plugin like lacks though, because I didn't want to be accused of hacking his website. Also, he kinda has a corner on that market. The question you have to ask yourself though, is do you want to be at lacks mercy for your dice? Or would you rather have a piece of hardware in your TV that you are in control off?

You should get free premium just for coming up with that sh*t! tell you what though, write a script to hack trial pay (since you don't want to touch lack's site) so that you get the free premium... and while you're at it you could do one for me too as a reward for providing this idea!

Hah, FOOL! I got numerous Nigerians of royal standing or at least with royal connections. I'm down $35,238 and the FBI wants to have a chat with me tomorrow, but I'm sure everything will pull through!

I'm glad you enjoyed it...I had lots of fun writing it.

Sorry, but I'm not going to hack trial pay either. I've already setup my hack of random.org. I plan on taking this to other avenues also, since the random numbers won't actually be random....because I've got my hack. I wonder what else uses random.org that I could spread out to....
