Turn notification emails

Postby 72o on Tue Nov 17, 2009 11:33 am

The sender on some, but not all, of my turn notification emails has changed from info@conquerclub.com to Conquer Club. Has this happened to anyone else?

It's a small nuisance, because I have around 50 turns a day, and I used to be able to sort my inbox by sender and delete all the info@conquerclub emails at once. Now I have to take an extra step to get rid of them all.

I could turn them all off, but I do like knowing when I have new turns available.

I used to do the same thing, but then I asked myself this question (seriously)...with 50 turns a day, do I really NEED to be notified? Essentially, I realized that anytime I may feel like checking my turns, I'm pretty assured of having at least one ready for me. So I turned off turn notification and haven't missed it a bit.

Yes, the sender has changed on some of my emails also. Kind of weird.

I agree with you for the most part, but it's nice to know when that first turn is pending, so I know how long I have before I miss that turn.

This is especially important on the weekends, where I'm not sitting in front of a computer for at least 8 hours every day. If I get that first email at 11 pm Friday night, I know I have until 11 pm Saturday to take my turns. I can do all the housework and other stupid crap my wife expects me to do every weekend without missing turns, and without first checking CC and spending a few minutes taking the oldest. This allows me to maintain the wife's willingness to perform sexual favors. If she sees me playing "that stupid fucking game" before I do the shit she wants me to, I will be punished. ;)

Why not create a seperate folder in your email and have them all forwarded there. That way they won't clutter up your inbox and you'll still see them.

I can't do that, because for some reason it messes up my Blackberry redirector if the message isn't still in the inbox when it tries to forward it. But good idea, I thought the same thing.
