Java-script game analyser causing problems

Postby ManBungalow on Thu Dec 03, 2009 5:24 pm

Recently I've had to take the turns of a friend's account as a result of him not being able to run java-script on his computer. Of course I could be doing this for a long time if a solution is not concieved.

Although strictly not a suggestion/bug I'd like this thread to serve as an encouraging marker to at least give the option to turn the new game analysis off in the same way one can choose between small map or large map as default settings.
Naturally, the default option for New Recruits should be to have the game stats enabled.

Similar points have already been raised in the announcement thread and the feedback thread, but I'm really wondering how many people are in the same situation as me (having to adopt an account for an indefinite length of time) or know of any players who can't play CC as they normally would as a result of the update.

Why can't your friend run JavaScript? That sounds so strange.

I had gathered data before the update and it seemed like 0.1% of members would be affected. But everyone should have access to JavaScript - it is just a setting in your browser.

Oh, and for the record, the JavaScript check is on login and has nothing to do with game stats :)

The countdown timer keeps flickering and on and off and it's really annoying. Fix this please, or give me an option to turn it off.

idk where to post this so I'll post it here I guess.
