I'm not one to scream "change it back," but...

Postby The Neon Peon on Thu Dec 24, 2009 6:33 pm

Why are the names of the players in two different spots?
And why did you move the time underneath the names? (I can't think of any logical reason for it)

Now, on a personal note... would you please move the links ["refresh map" etc.] a few pixels right so they are about equally distant from the right of the map as the player names and time? (it is the only thing bothering me atm, seeing as I just put the stats back to the side and got rid of the double naming problem. I can get used to the time.)

Afterthought: Why doesn't someone just make a greasymonkey script for this? (to move anything in a game page to wherever you want it to be)

Edit: game number needs to be moved an equal amount of pixels to the right as well. I'm just OCD like that. Everything should line up.

The new layout is cumbersome and awkward. It requires more (yes even more than usual) up-and-down scrolling during game-play. Please change it back.

Changes:
- centered game # and round
- moved links right a few pixels
- got rid of wasted space under the map
- moved time to where it was and should be

The stats, of course can be moved above and beneath the map still.

Edit: grats to me for linking a fog game and being too lazy to change it, oh well.

some of us had to scroll to see the gametime before, putting it underneath like it is allows to see how much time is left without scrolling... good fix there...

the only scrolling you have to do now is scrolling to see the NEW info that cc put there...

basically we get the old style back, with the option to scroll and see the NEW info...

the refresh map stuff should be moved closer to the middle of the map so that people without clickies dont have to scroll up and down when refreshing...

why do they insist on changing things? it looks retarded, feels retarded, and is retarded...so change it back. I feel like they are paying people to make ridiculous changes.

take for example my new manager....when he took over the store i work in the very first thing he did was lable EVERYTHING. I'm pretty sure everyone knew where and what everything in the store was but just in case we didn't know where the large cups go or ice tray is he made sure we did by labeling it. Pretty soon he is going to be labeling the 'caramel syrup' Caramel, and 'vanilla syrup' vanilla.

How about we fix the things that are actually broken with the site? Can anyone think of anything in particular?......... Change it back for the love of God.

A ton of people were complaining about having to scroll sideways, now you have an option of beneath the map, or to the side. It is still an improvement overall.

Everything I mentioned in this thread is a small adjustment to improve the look without changing anything. (except the clock, which I now understand the reason for and take back asking for it to change.)

I hate the new look and it's no improvement. Besides BOB gives an error, it says: " BOB: xml for this map is not correct, map inspect and text map are off"

It says that on every map.

The spoils I hold are displayed at the top of the map instead of below it, which sucks. Other things are not working either. It's so screwed up that if it isn't corrected in a reasonable time I'll not be a renewing.

Y'all really cry up a storm whenever something minor is changed. It's really not too big a deal to shed so many tears over. (same goes for similar threads like this one).

You always cry up a storm when anyone voices a complaint or suggestion in response to a change. It's as if you think no one else has a right to an opinion or individual thought. It's not really too big a deal over which to shed so many tears. The same goes for similar "stop whining" type people in other threads.

i think bbs is right. Im not gunna tell anyone to stop bitching. But i will point out that we've had shittier and weirder looking updates, and the community just ended up getting used to them. Its gunna keep happening

LOL, "It's as if you think no one else has a right to an opinion or individual thought."

Don't be ridiculous.

There's better ways to convey your opinion about CC's layout then putting it in such a whiney and bitchy tone. And, this change is still minor, and can be changed back, but many of you act like this is the end of the world. It's not a big deal, relax, and breathe a little between the sobs. The temper tantrum will soon go away.
