question for lack attack

hi sorry to ask you this but you set up the nuclear spoils option. have just played a game against a trebles team where they were taking there shots , then timing out at total of 1 player 8 times and one player 4 times to stop them from cashing in. as your explanation for these spoils state you will have to nuc yourself does this not go against the idea of the game and can you not put somthing in place to stop this from happening again. as i did like the nuc option but this puts me off playing it if people can do this and it is not classified as cheating.

"Oh noes the system has been cheated".... maybe the system was just another ill thought out implementation chucked in to momentarily deflect the criticism of the wider communtiy... maybe
