Postby Colemanus on Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:18 am

Is there a forum area that shows what land spaces go to what empire in EH like what squares make the British Empire, What lands make the French empire so on. I dont know how to get the empires without knowing what lands goto what./

On the map, Flags of the same country represent the territorial regions associated with that Empire. For instance, Great Britain's African colonies are Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt/Sudan, and British E. Africa.

Does that answer your question?

No it doesnt, I know about the flags, I mean a list of territories of what is in the empires.
The british empire is easily seen but what makes the Portugese territories or the French Empire, etc.

Perhaps you are confusing bonus zones like the "Russian Empire" and the "Japanese Empire"---where all regions are contiguous...with other "empires" that do not have such contiguous zones.

The European Empire's however, do not have regions that are contiguous, but spread throughout the world as colonies. So if you'd like to get the bonus for the Italian Empire, you need to occupy Italy, Tripoli and Somaliland.

If that doesn't answer your question, try to explain it greater detail what your issue is, or visit the Eastern Hemisphere map topic, and explore the posts within the topic.

Methinks that BoB is the answer. When enabled, it is possible to see each bonus and all regions included within it (and more). I'd struggle on that map without the odd glance at the BoB bonus stats. (This thread) will explain all you need to know about the Bob add-on.

This answers most of my question, is there a list of colony territories for the nations. Like the British, French, Neth, and Port?

There is no written list on the map. However, All the regions are marked with Flags. So in essence, there is a list on the map, that uses the Flag Icons to denote the regions that belong to the Empire.

Oaktown is the cartographer of this map. I don't think there were any issues during the development of the map in regards to it being not clear enough which colonies belong to which powers, because of the flag emblems.

You can always post to the old Map topic if you want to make any suggestions, on the odd chance it gets updated/revamped in the future.
