If someone tells you not to join their games....

...but also refuses to put you on foe list, does this mean that joining their games is baiting them?

no I think it means you are joining their games....

In my opinion, anyone is game if they open a game... you may wish to respect a request, but you do not have to. that is what the foe function is for.

So you are saying that people have the ability to stop you, and do not take it, you can't really be punished for joining? Because they could stop it if they want, but choose not to in a hope that you'll join their games and get punished.

you will eventually get foed, its a courtesy thing, and in my exp. its either like once a day or till after someone obtains rank or a medal they r chasing

yes...assuming you arent actually joining their games and baiting them in the chat...

if someone makes a game, they are fair game...unless they use their foe...they may ask you not to...but there is no reason you have to remember or respect that wish if you do not want...because they are free to foe you, if it is that important to them.

It doesnt make you a nice guy if you keep joining, and you probably will be foed, but you are not breaking any rules, or really even any spirit of the rules. Open games are open games. They can make private games, or foe you if they dont want you in them. Otherwise the game is open, and an open game, is open to everyone...including people they may not happen to want in a game.....except foes....

Firth is cleverly dancing around something so that later in this thread he can say something like "actually I didn't do that, but player XXX has been doing that..." Imo
