hi just a question if a player in a tournement gets another player in it to take his shots is this ok. is this not cheating as a tournement is for the player to get a trophy but if not him playing should he not be kicked out.

I'm just gonna say this one more time: PUNCTUATION.

As for your question: having a player take turns for you is very common, and legal. This is very useful if you are unable to take turns for a while, and you don't want to miss turns.

yes i agree with it in basic play but in a tourney you should have to take your own shots. if you are going away you should either.

1) ask opponant if it is ok for this player to take over.

2) ask tournement organisor if it is ok.

3) have one of the reserves take over for you.

4) ask organiser to delay start of game.

5) ask opponant to play game as speed game

like i said its a tournement if a player in it is not a hundred percent on the board and gets somone else to take over for you who knows the board this is cheating. and you do not deserve to carry on in the tournement as you have not won the game to qualify for the next round. and the player you have done it to shhould automaticly qualify.

If you look at it like that, then people will also start demanding that all games they lost to opponents who had people sit for them, be canceled: They lost to someone other then the original player.

It really won't matter if someone else takes a turn. Even 2 or 3 turns won't make a difference.
You should start complaining if someone plays complete games for the player afk.

Most TOs will tell you that as long as the sitting is within the rules of CC that its OK in that tournament.

It should be okay, so long as the person sitting for you isn't in any of your games OR in any of the tournaments you're in. To have to realize that they're technically still your opponent even if they're not currently in a game with you.
