How does the point system work

I lost in game 6510913 and lost 20 points - Sergeant First Class, other player lost 18 points Capitan... dont understand points!

Conquer Club members are initially given a score of 1000. At the end of each game, the winner takes points away from each loser. The points to be awarded is calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent.

As for how the player that is currently a higher rank lost less points, their score must have changed since this game ended

thanks for responding and i read the instruction... just as you posted but i went to the game within 5 min of it ending, no way players rank changed that much that quick
