Does Lack have a sense of HUMOR!??

Postby vodean on Wed Dec 30, 2009 10:44 am

It is not easy to develop and maintain an online game like Conquer Club. Hundreds of hours must be spent programming, and dollars must be spent on web hosting, support staff, gourmet peanut butter and other expenses. Please support Conquer Club by upgrading to Premium Membership. It costs only $25 USD per year.
what??? peanut butter? couldn't it at least be all andy's bananas?

support staff
??? they are volunteers!

This is from the page where you buy premium

I only eat Smuckers Peanut Butter. It fuels my programming and therefore can be considered an expense for operating Conquer Club.

You have to empty the jar, mix everything and put it back in when you first open it because the oil separates from the peanut butter. It is also not available in Canada, so we try to get friends and family to bring some back when they go to the states.

But man, it sure is worth the hassle. Commercial peanut butter tastes like icing sugar, and "all natural" peanut butter tastes like... well, it doesn't taste.

Try Smuckers Peanut Butter today!

It only separates like that because it is natural, not because it is Smuckers ;) The only organic peanut butter I've found that doesn't separate is Wegman's brand, but that makes me wonder what the big difference is.

I once purchased a local organic peanut butter with the skins included (which makes it a lot darker and thicker, if you can believe that). It looked terrible when first opened, with the oil separated and blackish skins floating around on top. But man was it delicious after mixing! Peanut Butter is definitely a necessary fuel.

Boss-man, I am so glad you buy Creamy....if you had pictured Chunky, I probably would have wept (and gone on yet another hillbilly rampage).

Any time you want some shipped up, you jes let me know; I ship to Kanaydians every other day ;o)

-the creamy vs chunky debate is ever raging at our house.....lol

ps - I grew up on Adams...also grossly seperated....lol

I don't understand why we have the jams but not the peanut butter :?

Death To All once wrote a formal letter to Smuckers requesting them to supply it in Canada. A marketing woman replied that they will consider it but I'm not holding my breath.

I just have to throw out a personal sidenote. Try sunbutter (www.sunbutter.com) made from roasted sunflower seeds. It tastes almost the same as peanut butter, but that's all we've eaten in my house for the past 3 years (due to peanut allergy). Delicious stuff and you can't tell the difference, even when baking.

How about some regular butter? I put it on a thing called a "bread" with some "cheese" on top.

Nothing like a home made thickly sliced wholemeal brown bread sandwich with peanut butter and redcurrant jelly at tea time, with a china pot of decent English breakfast tea natch.

I'd offer to ship you some since I live about an hour and a half from their headquarters (Orrville, OH), and go by it a few times a year since I have family there...but after reading this thread a few times I still can't figure out if you're being serious or if your love for it in this thread is simply hyperbolic.
