we don't even know if Hasboro did anything official yet. Perhaps something came up that make lack panick and need to enact a sort of emergency precautionary measure. We don't know.

It doesn't need to be. The mystical planet Jimonki happens to have seas of lava which are (entirely coincidentally) shaped like the continents of Earth. Factions of lava worms have divided the seas into different sectors with ethereal names like 'Norfwez Tertiary', 'Si-Jam', 'Kam Shatner', 'Kunga' and 'Brawl Seal'.

Big Shatner approves this decision, as long as you give him a proper laser gun instead of a camera tripod.

you are correct to a point Dito; they are under no legal obligation to inform us of anything at all!

heh but if they, for example, informed us of nothing and simply left the Molecule Diagram up as Classic for the next year, then they would lose a lot of businness.

Keeping us informed and giving us what we want is like any action which seeks to improve customer relations. No businness can hope to succeed if it changes its core businness to the detriment of its customer base and does not seek to change it or placate the customer.

Now i am not saying that is what is happening, it is fairly obvious that the site is working hard to sort this out as best it can. However to say that they do not have to tell us anything is a little shaky.

Regarding the sites awareness of copyright implications; I guarantee this has been researched previously, this is not something which has suddenly sprung up in the last 24, 48 or even 72 days let alone hours.

Lot's of common sense in this post ;-)

Just checked out RISK on wiki and apparently this bull s#1t site is 'official'.
So maybe there is a possibility of becoming an 'official' site and getting our map back, because lets face it there map is just plain ugly, or we can play a little dirty to and get Hasbeen to shut them down too, and then if they don't the precident has been set and we can all go back to playing classic...not to mention all of the risk-like game sites.
