Damn, I was a bit too late to completely laugh in your face and tear you a new one like rbel did, but still, I'd like to say what I was going to say when I first read your (always politically incorrect and highly racist) comment.

BTW, rbel, you are awesome and I can't agree more with your statement. =D>

I do not find his comments racist. Or politically incorrect. He is just acting the way you do not expect people to act and fall for that pseudo-provocation.

His first "point-drop" is not a point dump.
Because
a) It is not recorded in his paddle
b) he played all the games - just lost heck of a points in doing so

That is what I have heard from King Sam. If you want, I can quote point-dump definition here.

Pirlo wrote:I think it is ridiculous to just think that a great player like commander would point dump. even if he wanted to have his score lowered, I'm sure a veteran like him can find many ways to make it look unintentional. players like commander sacrifice a good part of the fun in order to maintain a high rank. so is it possible that he just wanted to drop points? I don't think so.

Creating 65 speed games and deadbeating from all of them is point dumping. You cannot argue that. Whatever his (or not his) intention was - facts are here, games were created and dumped, and point balance of CC has been shattered and it is considered as a gross site system abuse. Reputation has nothing to do with that.

Dako, I know that what happened is point-dumping. there's no way i can validly argue that. however, I'm saying that it couldn't be him doing that.

That is only an assumption and it cannot be proved by anything. We cannot rely on knowing his personality or not knowing it. Therefore we cannot use to solve this case. Maybe it can be used to lessen his verdict, if he is to be found guilty, but it cannot affect investigation process or his guiltiness at all.

i agree with Dako... nobody has explained how his IP showed up on the IP check for the point dump. there hasn't been one valid explanation of why/how this occurred and how he is not responsible. CC is not going to back down from that one sticky point that can't be denied. HOWEVER, i feel that the punishment is a bit harsh, considering people can violate the first rule of CC, pay 25 bucks and they are back in good standing with the site... if i were one of his friends, instead of creating a ruckus with zero counter evidence, i would put together an effort to have the admins reconsider his punishment based on his past actions/reputation on CC... i might, however, leave out that whole "i have legally point dumped before" confession that he stated... anyway, until you explain how the IP reading is inaccurate, i think you should all try to have the punishment changed... seems like that effort might actually work better than what is going on in this thread...-the black jesus

good point, I assume he left his PC on and his account logged in when got outa home, then somebody else happened to hijack his account (maybe from somewhere else, not necessarily from his house) and point dumped him while it still says he's logged in. at least i hope it is like this. i have no idea if the hunters can figure this out or not.. i'm not a tech expert.

As a tech guy I can say it cannot be figured out. And I fear it will be conducted as his own responsibility for not looking after his own account (like buddysystem). But admins will decide about that matter, not me.

this is how they further the discourse when you disagree with them. i have asked how the IP check is wrong, and somehow i am racist and off topic, because i do not agree with them. as far as being called racist, please take it to C&A and have me dealt with. this thread has not furthered or improved the case. it has offered zero evidence as to how the IP check is wrong. it is great that he is a wonderful guy who has "legally point dumped in the past" so there is no need for him to do it how it was done with his account, but that does not discredit the IP check... again, you should take your efforts towards getting the punishment reduced and your friend back on CC, this thread is simply not working...-the black uber racist jesus

p.s.-throw in the using of others accounts to post in the forums, and it just looks beyond bad for him. sure he broke the rules to come to his own defense, but he was warned multiple times and didn't stop. e-tickets work, period... i'm sorry, but nobody has offered up how the IP check is wrong. it came from his computer. period. so he is the one that has to be held responsible.

it is much different from buddysystem's case.. buddysystem carelessly threw his password to almost all his clanmates.. it was TIME clan of which I was a member and saw him posting his password in his team game chats to all his teammates at that time including me.

I don't think commander shared his password with too many people....

unfortunately, some clans require you post your password to all clan members in a thread of their clan forum

That's one of the most idiotic requirements I've ever heard of. You should only trust your password with a select few that you can trust. Posting it in any kind of forum, private or off-site, is asking for trouble.

Commander62890 wrote:And, yes, I think I was being a little too careless with my password. Maybe 8 people in THOTA knew it, but that's not really a cause for worry.

And while sending my password to 3 of my best friends on the site did not seem like a problem at the time, I guess I should have verified that they didn't have sitters with vendettas against me.

I post this just to share what he wrote previously in a conversation, and a show from Commander that he does understand his piece of responsibility in the case. The fact that a possible 11-some people had his password, trustworthy or not, makes this a complex web to figure out. Add in people who own the password of his possible sitters, and its improbable anyone ever gets caught for this.

I agree with Owen, the action that should be taken is to bring this to the Admin's attention and re-work the ruling of the case. Commander is a stand-up guy, point dumping or not, and would indeed be a shame for him to get booted from the site in such a controversial way. But not much is being brought up to prove complete innocence, so choose your battles wisely.

We still have IP issue at hand. How can you explain that? Password leak means some other guy logs in from home acount aiwht another IP. Either somebody messed up from the home PC of commander, or somebody has a real grudge and masked his IP to commanders IP.

Yes it dose, it just gives you 0.

hehehe.....its obvious you arent a math major

Either way, everyone is doing enough talking about Comm's character, I dont know how much more we could possibly have. I think both threads have gotten way out of control. The IP problem is the only remaining questions at hand. If someone can duplicate this "symptom" and inform a mod of how its done, then that will likely be the only thing to clear this case.

i think owen nailed it on the head... i was going to post "has anyone looked into if aliens had anything to do with this" but thought that was going to far... it just seems like everyone is stretching for a reason...

what i cant understand is why is everyone saying he is perma-banned? isnt he just banned right now while they figure out the case then he gets a warning? or one month ban? i thought this was his first offense of point dumping (illegally) so unless we dont know all the facts and maybe commander does have a past history he wont be perma-banned right?

I got this from a hunter.

Hunter wrote:If he is found Guilty, which as evidence stands now is pointing that way, then the procedures are as follows:

If 1st offense he receives a 30 day vacation or can be released from the site (up to admin)
If 2nf offense then he is perma banned.

point dumping recieves what i believe is a 6 month ban. there have been a couple of cases busted for point dumping that are now back playing but it is a offense that is escalated up the ban system. but like i have said it don't really matter because commander would not listen when he was told to stop posting under other players account he ignored that if i remember correct he had a warning with pimphawks account then continued with his account. that on the scale brings it to 2nd stage. he then posts with 40kguys account (3rd stage) then ljexs account (4th stage) So in effect it dont really matter what happens he will be looking at a minimuum time of 6 months ban. So in effect he is not blocked until he is cleared or not of point dumping because he will be already serving a ban just now for the abuse of players accounts. which is quiet irronic really since this is what he says happened to him.
