Conqueror Herpes is Better than YOU

I have played Herpes and in all honesty I do not understand why he seems to eschew series of games against high ranking players.

He'd lose. A lot. Search his games with Majors+. He gave a nice small sample of choice games he won, and I suspect that those 40 games are all of them (out of a couple hundred team games).

But to get that relative rank up (to colonels or w/e you said it was at), then he would have to play A LOT of higher-rankers to even it out. So........hmmm...I'm thinking he does a great job playing a bunch of people with high ranks, too.

This is untrue. The relative rank is a running (arithmetic) average, so it takes very few high scores to balance a lot of low scores. The fact that his is so low (below 0.5) means that he not only plays few high ranks, he loses disproportionately often against them.

How absurd. You are incredibly stubborn and dense. Now you're going to make me have to prove you stupid yet again. Actually It's getting to be rather fun. Another false assumption by our disturbing friend. Hold that thought....

In games above 3 players standard sequential matches, Fruitboy has played 175 games. Out of these games he's won an admirable 35 games. And on what maps you say? Hold on to your seat everybody....The Classic Map! Wow! If you ask me that's, how Fruitcake likes to put it, "boringly predictable".That's nothing too exciting am I right? Certainly nothing boast worthy enough to put down another or point out a supposed lack of ability and skill. On top of this rather average statistic he has quite the lame career when considering all of the few game types his superb mind clings too. he played a mere 80 speed games and has claimed 41- 80( all sequential but surely nothing to sneeze @), 15 freestyle games and pulled off 4-15, A whopping 0 terminator games, as well as a not so surprising 0 assassin games. Also uninteresting as this may continue to be, he's only played 20 out of how many maps now? A Gazillion I think it is. Let me guess, you don't like change.... But keep working on it Fruit'ness at the rate your chugging along, I'm sure you'll get those last medals umm, maybe before you croak? You're a great team leader and strategist without a doubt, I atleast have enough character to admit the positive. But you are miles away from being as tried, versatile and capable as me in ALL styles of play. So hush your mouth!

Now don't get your panties in a bunch because I haven't forgotten that you probably want to see my capabilities as well. It would be unfair for me to just throw someone under the bus like you do without showing my games as well. Stay tuned....

As I see King_Herpes is on-line, I wonder if he would answer a simple (and genuine!) question:

Do you think you are the best player on CC?

Now don't go thinking I am trying to catch you out here, as that is not my intention at all. The point I am driving at is whether you think being Conqueror proves you are the best player overall, or proves you are currently the best at making points. I suspect you believe the latter, in which case the argument over map rank, maps played and all the rest of it is fairly irrelevent.

With regards to King_Herpes' great wins, or Fc's, of course both players have won a lot of games against credible opposition and I would strongly suggest it is unneccessary to list them all here.

im closer to the top then i would have expected
in other words, more of the high ranks play lower ranks than i expected

but the fact remains that herpes is a good player and can beat higher ranks when he chooses to

Thank you to all players who have the character to congratulate and aren't "detracting" from me being where I am. I certainly wouldn't take anything away from another player no matter how he got here so long as it was done within the rules. Many people get CC mixed up with traditional risk. This game has many different aspects to it than the 3 D version made from cardboard and plastic. It takes a lot of determination and perseverance to stick out any one method of gaining points. Some people play mostly team games, some mostly standard sequentials, other's prefer speed games, and then their are also those who "Farm" a majority of them. Either way, it isn't easy to get to the top. If anyone thinks it is, I personally welcome you to try.

QED the higher the relative rank, the higher score of player you take on.

Relative rank is based on averages, the more low ranked players one plays, the more high ranked players he/she would need to play to even things out. But, after looking at some of his games, you will see that he plays some mid-ranked players too, which also would raise his average (although by a lesser amount than higher ranked players). But obviously he plays more low-ranked players than high-ranked players as his relative rank (your beloved terms of rating a player) b/c his relative rank is lower than the average conqueror.

But the thing is, who really gives a shit? He is the conqueror, you're not. His means of doing so are obviously better than yours. He has the choice to play low-ranked players b/c he risks "A LOT" (your favorite words) of points going up against them. Who knows if he's matching up against a great, low-ranked player and LOSE; kinda like he did here:

Yes, the guy that beat him is a serg., but that is still a relatively low rank. But still, the fact remains that his method of becoming conqueror is better than everyone else's as of now. Why does it bother you guys so much? Most of you people don't stand a chance of becoming conqueror, it's not like you were but are being "cheated" by him taking your place.
