If you have 200k to spend on a website, just start your own. That is plenty of money to get a high quality site going and keep it going for a long time until your membership actually starts paying all your bills and you begin to make money from it. Not to mention you can do whatever the hell you want....you can ban whomever you wish for whatever reason you wish, you can have ONLY flame wars forums...post in the forums how much you hate everything about the site (except actually, renewing your premium membership every year for $25 so you can continue to complain to a captive audience that you think cares about what you think evidently).....the sky is the limit.
I for one, am tired of the same 5 or 10 people complaining constantly about the way things go on around here; so it would make me extremely happy to see you start your own site and take those few annoying people with you so the majority of us could have some peace and quiet around here while we continue to enjoy ourselves playing a game on a website because we choose to pay to do so.
Wait, then you wouldn't have anything to bitch about.
lms, come on now. you are making this topic negative. stay on topic.
you are talking about negative people, and yet you are being negative.
i dont want to start my own site. i want to buy this one. and it isnt my money. it is my familys money. i dont want to start from scratch. lackattack has done a great job with this site. and he is good at starting them up. so why shouldnt he get paid for his hard work.
if i were to buy his site, i would have to keep him on as a consultant for at least 2 years. and of course a 10 year noncompete agreement.
lms......please dont make this a negative topic. i dont want anyone banned......why would you say that?
My apologies Ronc. My post was based on solely my opinion, which I garnered over time by reading and (mis?)interpreting your "body of work" as posted in the forums over said period time.
What are your immediate plans for your new site?
