As far as I am aware, there was no change in the dice sheet in the past few days.

The dice are still as random as they always were, painbrain is just taking all the lucky rolls :)

No one can make it stop... Just wait for the dice to turn around... It'll happen sooner or later.

Have you tried burning incense? You may need to try several different scents to discover the one your dice prefer. Mine seem to enjoy a nice cinnamon/vanilla blend.

Hello new to the club. But loveing it. In some games I have attacked from three countrys on one with more armies in each of my country than the one, and lost almost all in each. More than once. I have many many a die and used them often in my "years". But this is the worst luck I have ever had. But I fear not. Fore glory or death! And I do not die so easy! Great club glad to be here. Could not make it a week with out geting premo membership. Keep working on it. It can only get better.

My brother was having the same problem earlier, he kept pounding Florida with ten troops at a time, and it wouldn't budge.

The Dice!

Postby Edward on Wed May 31, 2006 3:21 pm

Yes!!! I have noticed that the defenders have an advantage, whenever I attack a contry with 2 armies defending it like 80% of the time ill lose 4 or more armys before i can take it, and sometimes i never do. Now ok, i admit that its possible that this could be a coincidence and that im repedidly having a bad roll, but ive seen this thing many time and for many players, in one game someone sent 10 armys to take a contry defending with one, And The Defender Held! he killed 10 armys and lost none. In one of my attacks, i attacked with 14 armies a 5 army defender, he lost 2 armys and i lost all 14, it cant just be random, these cases are always hindering my attacks, ConquerClub! please fix your dices.

Heres my take on it. Theres kind of a pattern i see. If, for say, on a certain turn, the first attack you make is successful, generally you will be successful. If you keep attacking and losing my advice would be... STOP FREAKING ATTACKING! LOL. Y lose armies when on a different round you could have a good run. It snot the dice...its ur patience. 8)

Oh and P.S.: Its not the number or armies you have vs. what ur attacking...it's all the roll of the dice just like Vegas.

When you have alomst cleared out a colour with 5 cards on him and have the last one left and its 9 vs 1 your advice would suck as badly as the dice do on many many occasions.

I took your advice once after losing 8 armies to 1 in a 14 vs 3 attack.

I attacked the following round again, this time it was 15 vs 2. Yay I won that one and only lost 11 armies.

The dice here suck - end of story.

i kno what u mean...

Postby muffinman6632 on Mon Jun 12, 2006 1:49 am

I have also noticed that the attacking dice seem to have an un natural disadvantage... its very convenient when im defending, becasue it happens to eeryone luckily. i guess u win some u lose some... id say its fairlycommon atleast when im attacking larger armies (like 30 on 20 o so) i tend to lose about 2 to 1 while attacking, but smaller armies (like 12 on 5) i usually lose my guys at a 3 to 1 ratio. i have figure if i have about 2-3x the attacking force as defending, all the way up thru about 10 armies than im safe... it is annoying to waste ur armies and then not get a crad tho...

If you're absolutely sure the dice are so bad for attacking, why don't you base your game tactics on more defending and let the other players waste their armies away ..?

Bad or not, it's the same for everyone. Use it to your advantage.

In a Flame Wars post about the dice, I responded with this...and it fits here also.

AndyDufresne wrote:Since near everyone hates the dice so much, I propose:

  • Everyone simply roll their own dice, pm the results to whoever you are attacking. Then the defender will pm his results. Then pm lack and tell him to update the game.
  • This will surely work better, right? And probably be more fair than a so called 'random number generator'.

the dice is fine... people just have to learn that u don't win every singel attack - u wouldn't do that if u where playing with real dice even

the point is to know when to stop attacking if dice is "defender friendly"

don't blame dice for poor strategy

I have also kept track. I have determined that the defender with one die is twice as likely to roll a 6 on the first roll as the other numbers. In other words, each of the other numbers is one chance in 7 and the 6 is 2 chances in 7. I think they put that in there to even up the odds of 3 against 1. Now that you know it, use it to your advantage.

Postby gloryordeath on Sat Jun 17, 2006 6:03 pm

The dice still suck so I have changed how I use them and I'm doing much better. But it is still a pain.
