because of your poor course of action with the dugcarr case, I am losing to many friends on this site, including clan members. I hope you understand what you have done to your site, because you certainly didnt make it a better place, you ripped the comppetitivness right out of it!
its 100% true, lack you need to get your act together
but what did dugcar exactly wrong? to give his points away? that isn't wrong is it?
Dug's give-away scheme involved playing
doubles games among others. I think you can figure out what's wrong with that if you think about it.
Anyway, here's lack's statement if you haven't seen it yet:
lackattack wrote:Last evening I went online and noticed that dugcarr1 is going on some jihad, starting a whole bunch of games with the expressed intention of throwing them. I was particularly concerned about 9 consecutive doubles games of dugcarr1 & innocent vicitim vs subjekt & tomtorresson. As I thought about the situation I refreshed the screen and suddenly dugcarr1 has 10 new open games started! He had become what is known as a griefer account, out to hurt CC as much as possible.
I stripped his premium, inactivated him, and deleted those games. That's what you have to do with griefers. I accidentally deleted a few good games because I punched in the wrong game numbers. Ooops Embarassed
Anyway, that's what happened. Totally killed the buzz from the massage.

Also, do you not see how a game in which one person's goal is to "give away" his points to his two friends is a fraudulent game? Don't you see why if someone were to announce that's what he intended to do and then started doing it that the admins would be justified in terminating his account to protect the integrity of the points system? I'm not saying you have to agree with the point system, I'm asking whether you can't see that if the admins do support the points system in place now, that you couldn't expect them to sit back and let him destroy the integrity of the system.
Then Dug started involving innocent partners in this "point give-away scam" and then the decision (if it had been difficult before) suddenly became very easy.
Since you seem to have a lot of concern for Dug, can you spare a little for his doubles partner in these public games who joined as Dug's partner without knowing that he was going to throw the game. I mean I know we're not talking about Dug here, so I don't expect a lot of sympathy and understanding, but can you work up just a little tiny bit for his doubles partner whose getting screwed out of his points by his "partner" Dug. I wonder whether Dug informed his "partner" in game chat about the secret alliance that existed between Dug and his cronies on the other team. But hey, if you're on a holy jihad, what's a few more rules you have to break?
So, I hope you were being facetious in you question about what exactly Dug has done, but if you weren't here's a serious (but by no means complete) answer.
Lack did the right thing in banning Dug; Dug left him no alternative.
Lack banned Dug as an absolutely last resort; it's impossible to know what form of cheating Dug would have engaged in if he was still here. He had already invented a conspiracy to bribe someone to fraudulently use his account, and developed an original strategy to screw his doubles partner out of his points by throwing games to his cronies. He was nothing if not inventive.
