GLG complains about anyone who questions his form of play. The one comment that CoF was noted for making was completely clean and should have never even been noted, muchless used as a basis for a ban. But since GLG is favored by some of the mods, he goes whining and crying to them in order to get them to do his bidding (in this case banning those who disagree with him). If CoF made other bannable posts in that thread, they should have been recorded or at least linked to, because the only citation I can see is completely clean.

I don't care enough to do a search. If you find it, post it here.

Also please note that I'm looking for a comment from an admin, not LoVo. LoVo has made many... interesting... comments in the past.

Can't help but wonder if admin has lost control. They certainly seem to have lost any grip and/or respect and seem to be out of touch with what's happening on this site. If I owned this site I would be very seriously worried.

What sorts of data would be pertinent to understand and use, before instituting any additional barriers?

That doesn't quite seem like a promise to change anything.

You're such a liar, eddie.

Right, Lack often has to have eyes and ears for him, hence the Suggestions and Big Reports moderators, in addition to all other volunteers on Team CC. Thus, here we are. ;)

And there definitely is an enjoyment aspect of "unlocking" things, though I don't think your video game model is applicable to Conquer Club in all aspects. We are (for better or worse) not a video game that encourages further play by unlocking levels, plots, etc. The limiting and eventual "unlocking" Conquer Club is looking for (at least in regards to this aspect---Medals and Ranks aside), is more oriented toward the prevention of abuse and user retention rate.

I understand your points about "letting the lambs loose to the slaughter" --- and I think it is a valid one indeed. However, as usual, a middle ground is almost always the best. So one has to figure out how to prevent this sudden rush/onslaught, while not strictly inhibiting user enjoyment in the website.

still cant find the thread but here is part agreeing to a middle ground because the sug was a bit ott. this was 2 years 3 months ago

Foxglove's first post is a earlier qualifier for POTY.
In General, The "I dont give a shit" meter for both farming and complaints about farming are through the roof for most players

The real problem is that King_Herpes is going through quite the trama, and very few users are doing anything about it

lol and here you go a post from king a himself. ( before you read this plz remember what glg is doing is similar to what klobber was cleared of (inviting low ranks to games. that are just off n/r)

king achilles wrote:
Pedronicus wrote:THIS ISN'T A CLEARED SUBJECT LV. IT'S AN ONGOING ABUSE THAT NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH.....

I merged the first report and this duplicate thread made by Pedronicus. Please do not test the line. If you know there is already an existing report, do not make another extension report until you get what you want to hear or else you could be a candidate for making a spurious report.

There are no current limitations of what one can do with a game invitation. There are no current precedents about it either. So you guys found something that you think KLOBBER should not be doing. Your suggestions and the team is already figuring out how to fix this issue. For me, it all boils down to playing low ranked players once again. If KLOBBER was only inviting high ranked players, would this report of game invite abuse been made?

As for the spam for receiving game invites, would we also consider game invites coming from other players as spam as well even if we have also rejected their invites in the past? Should game invites be restricted to players that we only know or have played before? If someone we have not played before sends us a game invite, should we consider that as spam?

Jef-Jef has brought to my awareness this state of emergency via private message. Eddie2, we are severely disappointed in you and expect more from you as a 'mod-wannabe'. You guys are disturbing my metamorphosis, this is day 2 of being in my cocoon and this is just too much ruckus! I must speak up before complete anarchy ensues!

In my book, a forum ban is a symbol of honor and integrity more often than not. You guys need to be happy for him. Stop bickering each others eye's out and bludgeoning your passionate protector's heart by attaching all of this hate and promoting all of this separation within our site. The guy simply stood up for what he believed, whether he worded his posts to be malicious or snidely is the only thing up for debate.

Chariot of Fire is a quiet, modest person. The old adage rings true with CoF, "Still waters run deep". Although he himself shies away from the limelight, CoF never fails to miss an opportunity to shine glory on another player, whether or not they happen to be a member of his clan. CoF gives of himself nonstop, site-wide. From devoting countless hours into his and his friends strategy or hopping on a crazy runaway forum train to try to save any remaining semblance of coherency and introduce some tangible debate of opinion.

The flowing, bubbly river of knowledge he possesses and freely shares about his stance on relevant site rules is far from "still". It is with unsurpassed enthusiasm for CC, CoF rises each day and goes to work on what is the next best thing to do to help another player, create excitement at the next clan function, build the site in the best possible way, and foster funds for site premiums. You are barely out the door, finished with a team game when he starts brainstorming on what to do for the next round. As his lesser I can only try to keep up! He is easily accessible to any player night and day. He continually expands himself by seeking out and taking advantage of every available resource to build his CC know-how.

He is a top team player and a top commodity to our forum. Most people would be wholly satisfied with the achievement level he holds. Many players would kick back and rest in this position. Not Chariot of Fire. Above and beyond his personal achievements, he has a relentless passion for helping other players discover they can accomplish the exact same and more even. He truly believes in the CC opportunity and how completely it can benefit each and every player he meets.

In 2011, I have seen him embrace, perfect, and amplify every new concept CC has asked us to put into play. His posts are glorious. His love for CC is only matched by a few. Over the 5+ years(we have the same cc birthday) I have enjoyed CoF as a friend and a co-player, I have watched in awe as he blossomed from a timid boy, unsure of himself and all the talent he possessed, to a powerhouse of a man with an ever expanding heart, always, always taking whatever time necessary to help the next player and the next.

Chariot of Fire owns the soul of Conquer Club. It runs in his veins and flashes in his charming smile. CoF is a pay it forward kinda guy and he has my vote for this esteemed award.

No, there is an abundance of overbearing uncensored people on this forum. You my friend have a way with words, plain and simple. Trolling, baiting and flaming through superior intellect. Calling someone (and this is an example not directed at anyone including you) "A fucking moron" is insulting someone. I think we can both agree on that, but phrasing it, so that the insult is lost on the slower minded forum goers is still insulting someone. For example: "He is useless on top of the ground; he aught to be under it, inspiring the cabbages." Same insult, worded a little more cleverly.

That is my problem with you King_Herpes. You should have a blog, that way if people really wanted to read through your Drabble they could. The flowing, bubbly river of knowledge? Ha...

Just because you disagree with a player's tactics it does not give you right to flame/bait/troll them... and there was much more of this happening than actual discussion on the tactics.

You're slowly becoming my favorite poster.

This post makes a ton of sense, because the nice "discussions" that have happened here about this topic, have lead no where. Nothing will change around here, until someone comes along and makes a big stink about it. I have no problem being that martyr. Certain tactics used by players on this site are flat out wrong, and until someone screams from the mountain tops, the c&a reports will be swept away, the general discussion threads will be swept away and the suggestion threads will be swept away.

Being banned on this forum for baiting/flaming is like being fined for littering. Everybody does it, most people get away with it. The select arbitrarily decided upon few have to pay for it. It's like a lottery with a really shitty prize. Unless the offenses are egregious I can't quite stomach reading somebody defend a forum ban as merited or deserving, and when people do defend a forum ban it's usually because they dislike the player that is banned.

Then as a good number of you are in agreement that CoF got the wrong end of the deal, everyday you might try submitting E-Tickets in his defense. I can only imagine what the reaction would be if on a daily basis a large number of E-appeals went into the system. MB you still here, If you are advise even though you dont want it, honey and bees will get you further than your current way of trying to bring change.

Probably forum bans for everyone who does this for spamming and misusing the e-ticket system.
