Bogroller is too kind if you ask me, but it's the best anyone has come up with thus far...

So, but I still think we have to keep the meaphoir as much as possible:

    Battery (Factory) farming
    Intensive Farming
    GM farming

But its the metaphor that need to be changed. If somebody came up ot you in RL and told you they were a farmer, you wouldn't file a report with the po-po and criticize them for their choices/preferences and their negative impact on society. you would do the following for a pedophile.

Since FARMING is technically limited to unranked ? New Recruits, someone suggested different terms for "despicable play":

Similar to farming - but not vs unranked ? new players: Herding, Shepherding (one mentioned by jefjef - one of the intelligent replies of his), cat-fish farming,

Lemmings: >5 completed games players that follow each other over cliffs to near certain death
wolves: those that separate the weaker players from the herd for a natural meal - especially in team games
Risk Managed: when a higher rank plays a lower rank knowing he'll probably not lose
Milk money stealing: targeting newer (but not ? unranked) players for pittances -- minimal amounts
Map Fee minimization - small points lost while learning a new map -- instead of full 20 points
Conquering - High Ranked Players beating 100-800 game completed players
GLG-ing-carefully managing your opponents to maximize score and minimize losses -- while not playing equals or betters
Chicken Little - exaggerating the impact of situations and the end of CC as we know it

HOWEVER:
-specific comments directed to "the leader"or other specific players that are derogatory surely are baiting, flaming -- if not trolling
-exagerating and calling someone a FARMER (takes advantage of unranked ? new recruits) that is not one -- also is baiting, flaming and/or trolling.
-but if we're gonna make fun of something, let's do it right and be creative and funny, Surley the CC braintrust at work in this thread can do better, no?

Hmmm, I like some of those. Spoken just like a man who manages personal wealth ;) Not crazy about the weasel clauses at the end though. And GLG-ing shouldn't enter the lexicon for fear of immortalising somebody. 'Hook-Strangling' is a better term, for it defines baiting weaker opponents (the 'hook') and then choking the life out of them (the 'strangle').

But I am perplexed... how the heck does somebody from Philly even know what a Bogroll is in the 1st place?

In the states, we're more likely to be buggered by traffic reports of a lorry running out of petrol every day for a fortnight, than we are to here the word bogroll, lol

I learned the word like I learn most of my English words - from Pedro. There is a thread regarding hypermarkets (another word I recently learned) and how conquerclub is becoming like a hypermarket.

Thank you for your feedback and contribution, David!

So I guess "Loop-Hole Exploiting Fuck-Head" is definitely out.
So would "Greasy, Immoral, Weasel"
Hmmmmm......"How about: "Pretentious Slimy Loser"??

That creative and funny enough?
Please advise. I wouldn't want my suggestions to be taken the wrong way and hurt any feeling to those that feel they achieved anything by rendering the spirit of true competition on this site into their own person ass-lube for pwning cadets.

while definitely on the creative side, but that last one (JR) sort of hops over that "baiting/flaming/trolling" line a wee bit.

How about a few other terms:
share croppers: Teams of high ranks that near-farm/ranch/harvest teams of lower ranks
slaughterhouse: Games of teams of high ranks that near-farm/ranch/harvest teams of lower ranks
cannon fodder: ranked recruits that lose to a higher rank
Assassinations: players killed in Assassin games
AssAssAssAssAssWipes: either people that clean up big time winning Assassin games -- or people that complain about people legally playing within the rules (CLARIFIED: and ASSASSinate character -- especially if they stutter)

Oh man, apparenetly you didn't read that thing I wrote in the other thread. You know, the one where I said you should watch out who you try to get banned for baiting, flaming and trolling because you never know when one of your posts could be baiting, flaming or trolling? This looks like baiting and flaming to me! Congratulations for proving out my theory on hypocrisy!

the HUGE differences I see are:
-they are NOT directed at any one person -- where as the ones I complain about ARE directed at one specific person.
-are not nasty -- where as the ones I've complained about are nasty
-and I take it you assume it's NOT a play on ASSASS-in? but something else?

Oh, so subtle.......such charm....while you're at it, you and your fellow asterix club cronies can brainstorm a new word for conqueror. How about "Chicken Hawks" ?

Again, incase this has not been clear as some have seemed to neglect it, we want to disassociate the negativity of taking advantage of less fortunate players with the agricultural and/or livestock industries as these people should not have a social stigma attached to them for the work that provides a great benefit to society.

Oh, then we shouldn't use bogrolling either. The companies that manufacture and sell bogrolls would have that stigma as well - although the stigma of "cleaning up the shit" they sort of already have.

Ok go the other way with it then CROP KILLERS The metaphor is still there but it doesnt say anything bad about the actual farming industry. But it does say what it needs to about what is going on. =D>

Chapter IV
On the way home to fetch money and fresh clothing, Don Quixote hears crying and finds a farmer whipping a young boy. The farmer explains that the boy has been failing in his duties; the boy complains that his master has not been paying him. Don Quixote, calling the farmer a knight, tells him to pay the boy. The boy tells Don Quixote that the farmer is not a knight, but Don Quixote ignores him. The farmer swears by his knighthood that he will pay the boy. As Don Quixote rides away, satisfied, the farmer flogs the boy even more severely.

Damn those evil farmers, damn them all...

There really ought to be a law against that kind of abuse; Imagine that, Calling a farmer, a knight???

I like Crop Killers, but isn't there some kind of a worm that can destroy whole crops? What is the name of those worms? Maybe that's what we should call them?
