it was a joke but I am pretty successful there. Win percentage there has got to be around 75% or higher and have won a few tournaments there. one of my favorite maps. best strategy is to adapt to what yo have been given.

well said. I think on any given day, you could potentially have a different winner between most of those top 8 or 10, although for now it seems kort has the edge with 2 teams in the final.

A round robin may very well show a different result
(And I'm not just saying that because ACE members have won 2 out of 3 of them already )

Great idea. Three games are such a small sample size, esp given most of the players in the tourney were of similar calibre (thus 1-1 becomes a natural score, leaving one game in the lap of the gods).

Have to congratulate Kort though, getting two teams into the final against such tough opposition.

I'm still of the opinion Conquer Rome is the best map ever to grace CC.

Last I spoke with him he was getting counseling and there was talk he may even end up institutionalized.

I have fared much better, but I have quit my job and spend most hours of the day drunk

Unlimited forts is not my style. Surprising you like nuclear as I find it totally random and high on the luck spectrum with respect to affecting outcome. I prefer sequential, no spoils, chained, fog.

Nukes just add an extra element to what is really a no-carder, but I agree there can be an element of luck (the key is to reduce one's risk/exposure), so the settings you like are really the ones I have always preferred (with the exception of chained forts, as I like adjacent).

So if you fancy just a one-off game, me & Caffeine vs you and your chosen partner, on C.Rome, doubs, sequential, no spoils, chained, fog....then yeah, let's play ball.

Also, I already have 3-0 head to head score vs you on this map, and KORT members in total have 6-0 score vs you on this map, so even if I respect you I would rather choose to play vs someone who can give me better challenge than you, I rather play top challenging games than easy winning games.

no KORT teams participated in that tourney. As other relevant tournament (in addition to the 3 you quoted) I would highlight this one which was round roubin on 5 maps, one of them was Conquer rome, so every of 8 teams which were in finals (the best teams out of 32 teams that participated in total) played vs every other team on C. rome map: viewtopic.php?t=171488
In that tournament, 3 KORT teams ballenus/steve066, Rodion/drunkmonkey and josko/denthefrog achieved combined 13-2 score vs all other teams, and opponents were teams who really belong to top or close to top of clan scene, from clans ACE(*2), OSA, FALL, UM8.
