During that period you yourself cannot login. Also your account sitter may not be in any games with you currently, and while they are your account sitter they are on your ignore list.

I also think DiM's ideas about limited access for the account sitter would be a great idea.

All good ideas, but I'm not sure we could prevent one from logging in his own account, since even if we had that restriction to avoid two people playing an account at the same time, the account owner would still know the babysitter password, so could still log in.

it actually works like this:

i have my account DiM with password XXX. in "My settings" i have a field "Sitter" where i can insert a sitter's username and i put wicked.
now wicked is my sitter and she can enter her account using user: Wicked and pass YYY and she can also enter my account using user: DiM and pass YYY.

notice she enters both accounts using her own password.

i think it's fairly easy to check who enters the DiM account solely from the password. if i use it i insert XXX is wicked uses it she enters YYY.

so even if me and wicked are room mates and have the same ip we have different passwords and that's easy to verify.

Do the mods even have the powers to distinguish passwords without different IPs??

i don't know if they have the power to distinguish the different passwords but on some sites they do. so why not here?

We have every power imaginable. If you can think it up, we've got it. Everything from spying ants to a traveling muscle that roughs multi's up named Zacharia.

But seriously, regarding the situation...

While "account sitting" is an accepted practice, using it to increase odds of winning, to gain an artificial advantage in team games or to generally rain on someones parade with the intent of increasing your winning odds, etc, is toeing the line of multiple accounts and may result in account(s) being blocked, banned or generally slapped on the wrist from here on out.

We've got our eyes out, ;)

13. Can more than one person play from the same computer?

The short answer is yes. Our Multi Hunters are pretty good at distinguishing roommates & family members from people with multiple accounts. However, some members prefer playing only in team games with people from the same computer to avoid accusations of cheating.
