Ah, but can you program it to simulate the fantastic random dice generating function e_i_pi has described in such breathtaking detail? If not, the calculator was clearly a waste of your money.

I know TI-83 BASIC, and it functions VERY similarly to real BASIC, with a few additions for calculator-specific functions, and a use of : instead of ten-based line numbers.

that's cool to know... maybe I should go try my hand at some real BASIC now? :?

Nah, go learn Visual Basic, more specifically the .NET variant. It's a very robust language thanks to the .NET framework.

Remember my original statement? GML, and TI-83 basic. That's all the experience I have. I have no clue what you're talking about. ;)

the problem is that there is a 10^-26% chance that you could roll a negative 1. : )

E_i_pi, you've clearly solved the conundrum

Just to verify, I've now changed my avatar to your graph. We will see if it does the job!

Beware the awe-inspiring power of that image. You may laugh now, but you won't be laughing when you roll triple cows.

*sigh* I dumbed it down as much as I could. Go back, re-read, study up, and with enough patience and understanding, defence will almost hardly ever maybe never roll 6s again. Maybe

There are loads of easy ways to get completely random numbers...so I don't know what all the fuss is about. There are companies who print massive books full of completely random lists of numbers, you could use a high functioning calculator...I"m sure that there are other ways too...---C
