1.) Multis should NEVER be allowed back. I love most other aspects of the site...just can't handle tolerance for multis [cheating]. The buy-back option for cheaters who get caught jeapordizes the integrity of the game.

2.) I find Owen to be on-point and respectable. The way he's been insulted in this thread "multiple" times is unwarranted.

Trudat, I have noticed a continued effort by some to flame and bait shooter. They are a certain click that the mods have given a free rain.
I went on a crusade a while back against this cheating bullshit. I still, to this day, can NOT understand why CC can not see the logic in perma-banning cheaters. They think that they will loose money. This is very, very shortsighted, as they do NOT figure in the lost revenue from people that quit because of the cheating.
My crusade led to a News Years resolution from lack about farming. I was also given a warning to drop the crusade as they had already made their minds up on how they would handle cheaters. I would recommend for you to do as I did and just forget about trying to change anything, no matter how sensible and just the cause is. It will only give you headaches, and eventually, a warning yourself.

I don't know why people act like DM and others banned for forum abuses didn't have 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, chances already.

we aren't, we are acting as if andy's statement that he is too busy to review the less than 12 permanent forum banned members cases, since permanents have now been reduced to 6 months, is ridiculous. and why can't someone like DM buy back in? oh yeah, i forgot, CC leaned heavily on the fact that he created a multi after his ban to try and divert attention from the bogus reason for his ban and squash the uproar. imagine that!!! ONE MULTI!!! DM broke the cardinal rule!! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!! meanwhile, someone creates 11 and is allowed to buy back in. why? rules are applied arbitrarily about here, and there is no true letter of the law (Mibi, didn't that become apparent when you got away with calling me jackass, poopface and doo doo brown in one thread without receiving a ban?). the rules are enforced unequally and arbitrarily...-DDB

Lack has made a business decision that people who are caught using multiple accounts get to buy back in once or twice. After they've used up those chances, they no longer get to come back. On the forum, every warning and temporary ban is a chance to correct the actions of breaking the rules. Once those chances run out, the offender is banned permanently (now only 6 months for minor offenses). People still get many more chances on the forum to correct their actions before they are sent away than they get with making multiple accounts.

As far as the ETROPAL scenario, I believe the 11 multis were considered the first or second time the account was busted, so the next bust will result in a permanent ban. The system doesn't work by how many multis the person has, it relates to how many times they've been busted. In a C&A thread where you see KA type "Player X has been busted with A, B, C, D, and E", that counts as 1 bust because they were all caught at the same time.

i still find it humorous that infractions in the forums where less than 3% of CC ever visit, are treated more harshly than someone breaking the first rule of CC... you can talk yourself blue in the face, it will still not make sense to me. the very people that have helped make this a very unique forum, are the ones that are persecuted and driven away. want to see what a forum that is attempting to be like this looks like? pm me and i can send you a link to a sudoku site that has great threads like, "you know you have played too much speed sudoku when..." multis buying back in is just garbage... serial cheats propogate the boards, and as long as the cash flow continues, it is ok... it sends a poor message to the community, and a laughable consequence to the offenders...-0

From what I can tell, Krapht always writes like that. Etropel seems to be trying to copy him to cast aspersions. If you notice he makes a lot of mistakes and forgets to cap every word, unlike Krapht.

Like I said before, I was so pissed off a while back, when I found out that I was being raped by cheaters. All the countless hours of playing this game to gain those silly points. I could not fix the situation, and I tried, believe me. I came to the realization that if I wanted to move up in rank, I would just have to quit playing games other than 1V1's. There are just too many cheaters here, and they ARE encouraged by the "LACK" of a fare and equitable operation here. It really is a shame, as I really do love this game, and I do prefer the multi-player games. But what can you do ? I have been able to move up as high as Col. since adopting the 1V1 style of play. And, since I do not like freestyle or farming noobies, I am afraid that Col. may be my limit on the scoreboard. I will just accept that and let the sLACKing cheaters have their stolen seats on the leaderboard. I believe that if I can make it to page 1, I will be satisfied. Came just a few slots away once, but alas that nut is hard to crack with the style of play that I have been reduced to.

PS. I was gifted premium, Do you think that I would pay for this ?

Since the majority of newcomers to CC constantly deadbeat and in order to minimize the effects of cheating through multi-account use, how about the CC-Elite puts a restriction on new accounts that prevents them with playing against higher ranked people until that new account has completed a certain amount of games and/or is later reviewed and seen as legitimate (that shouldn't be too hard, one click on completed games, 2 minutes of looking, OH, no evident point dumping, no signs of multi, ACCEPTED). But up to what rank, I'm not sure, and once that restriction is lifted, they can play with any rank.

This would severely cut down on point dumping and other forms of cheating and indecency related to multi account use.

There's a lot of problems with my suggestion, but maybe this can move the thread along to something more productive. If something like this were imposed, it would greatly reduce the incentive to create multis.

And if this has already been brought up in some other thread, then I'm sorry, but I'm unwilling to allot the time to sort through all those threads.

this would also reduce friends recruiting friends to the site and teaching them how to play... i joined because my friend was tired of people ruining standard games with irrational play. he wanted a teammate he could talk to before turns and reduce the chances of bad/poor play by others affecting him. if i had to wait to hit a certain rank to play with him, i would probably not be around today, and the mods would be much happier in the forums...-0
