He got 3 troops already on the territory, and added 4. WIth those 7 troops he managed to beat my defence frontier (3 armies) and conquer three more territories (one with 2 armies, two with 1 army)

With those 16, he beated Alfred´s 9 armies frontier, and conquered 4 more territories, and still had 13 armies to reinforce overall.

It is a mere coincidence Barum is a paying costumer, and the highest rank in the game, while I am a private, the other a cook, both freemiums?

I am starting to think it is not.

You are quite correct, it is neither coincidence nor surprising to see that Barum is a higher ranked player then you.
But it has little to do with dice and a lot more with attitude and skill.

very random. very fair. my 3x1 statistics are already greater to defence than they should be. I expect it to get worse in the next months, since I am on the beginning of the 6 month fremium penalty rolls, where no game can be won, no matter, because one wins only 1/5th of the rolls, WITH LUCK.

I don't have a problem with the dice... I just attacked 19v15 and had 15 left over... but then again, I have got the premium dice-fix mod... :roll:

edit: The biggest problem I have with the dice in the usual way, is not exercising enough restraint with the intensity cubes...

Save yourself some stress and just quit the game before you get addicted. The game is so nauseatingly luck driven that all your hair will fall out before long.

Er, SirSebstar, you left out half his comment there. I think the fact that Barum was the highest ranked player in the game was an aside here. RADAGA was pointing out that he was getting suspicious that Barum was a paying customer, while he and the other player were freemiums.

I just about came to the same conclusion about 10 minutes ago. In my one Supermax game, last night I tried to take out another player who was splitting the area outside the front door. The dice were not with me and I was only able to get one territory. I then log on today and find that he had wiped the area, with only one more troop than I had. I then look over at the player list and see that he is the only paying customer in the game. (Just so you know, I'm a PFC, he's a cadet.)

Now, if this is a secret benifit of a premium membership, and the developers are hoping that astute players will notice this and say, "Hey, maybe I should buy a premium membership and get easier rolls." then they are shooting themselves in the foot. Why, you ask? Well, I feel that for every astute player who notices this and buys a membership, there will be an astute player who will notice and say "Sod this!" and leave - and then disuade 5 of his buddies from coming here.

Yes, that is a nice little conspiracy theory there, isn't it. And yes, there is no way I can prove it. But let me ask, is there any way you can disprove it?

No one needs to disprove it, as you've just stated exactly why this isn't the case. If lackattack was going to weight the dice, he certainly would do it in favour of the people he's trying to convince to pay (freemiums), not the other way around. If he was going to make the dice favour the paying members, he would certainly advertise it, so as to convince more people to pay.

People who say the dice are not random fit into one of 3 categories.

1- don't understand the concept of randomness
2- aren't any good at this game
3- all of the above

For homework tonight, I'd like you all to write, "The assault cubes are perfectly random, and I will lose seemingly perfect attacks once in a while because of this." 100 times on a sheet of lined paper. Class dismissed.

Take 2 dies right now and roll them 20 times......tell me how many times 2- 6's come up? than watch your rolls in CC with the defender rolling 2 dies, guaranteed it comes up at least 4 four times or more...It sucks but this is the program our owner chose to use :evil:

Result?

he lost none, wiped out the defence.

Of course.

So, it is the second time TODAY, against me (who can only play 4 games at a given time) that he scores something that have a less-than-5% chance of happening.

We have not rolled among we two 8000 dice today, that´s for sure.

Hah, I was just about to suggest this.

Perhaps it would indeed keep people happy if they could just have a totally even game. EG, If you attack 5 with 10, you will be left for sure with 5 to advance.

I woiuldn't play it becuase I regularly get good dice.

ooh, is this a thread to complain about your rank?

Let's see... some people n00bing me dropped me out of colonel for the first time in a very long time... made me quit freestyle games and start joining 1v1s in low ranks where I couldn't be killed for no reason and then have my killer lose that same round because of it.

No the point. It is not the number of dice rolled overall that dictated individual odds to witness something.

How many meteors fly by planetary orbits in the universe daily? I´d say trillions.

What are the odds of one hitting a planet? I´d say 1 in a few billions.

SO, earth should have been hit twice/day by shattering impacts, based on how many meteors are in the universe.

Same thing, the fact CC rolled 2.000.000.000 dice yesterday cannot possibly justify the fact a SINGLE PLAYER witnessed two VERY unlikelly scenarios.

Another example: how many dice are rolled in vegas every night? Hundreds of thousands.

So EVERY PLAYER shouold expect to hit jackpot twice a day, based on overall total daily dice rolls.
