Should moderators be able to hide their online status?

I would agree to this... but it was never about emergencys... that was the spin the mods put on all of this with other spins... it was just about dudes doing their responsibilities with 100% seriousness.

Its funny to me how shit gets mixed...

Its hilarious to me how smart mods use my unfavorable disposition and decide to twist an arguement and put words in my mouth... read the original thread... It was never about an emergency... It was about a complete lack of 57 mods.... because most are so selfish they hide.



In many of my forums where I am very well known and respected that have triple the daily users... they have 4-15 mods only.

but those mods are always on, always visible... so many of them never even get a pm.

I have yet to even get one single argument from a mod here that says why they should be hidden other than the "privacy" argument.... It seems to me.. MANY MANY people here that are actually better qualified than they would give up their "privacy" right- to be a mod..

and it would be better for all if that happened.

You have yet to prove how any mod who does not have an open status is not doing their duties. You claim that a hidden status automatically equals someone not doing their job properly, but there is NO PROOF of this. Furthermore, you don't even know exactly what tasks each volunteer has been asked to perform. Not every task is meant to be for constant public interaction, so who are you to demand that they make their role public if it's not meant to be?

You claim to be a member of other larger forums, but how many of those sites revolve around an on-site game where people are playing 24/7 and demand mods look into possible game cheating and chat complaints? It's because of the game that there are so many moderators available. Furthermore, you completely ignored non-privacy arguments from several moderators, including The Fuzzy Pengui and Lindax, so you're clearly picking and choosing the arguments that fit your agenda.

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". In the Suggs forum, you said you saw 100000000 better ideas then the new gameplay options that are being suggested. Well, obviously the rest of CC didn't think the same way you did. JUST because a idea appears great to you, doesn't make it one. You complained that THESE polls were biased towards the mods. How? All they asked for was "Yes" "No". I don't see ANY bias in that. YOUR poll on the other hand, was the most biased poll I've seen on here yet. "Yes, they should be able to maintain their privacy and stay hidden!" "No, they accepted privileges AND RESPONSIBILITIES and should accessible to players to help them and should not be hidden from people needing their help!"

Another thing. HOW many, of these 20 000 CC users, actually visit the forums? Not all of them, i know that for sure. I looked through a handful of games i'm playing in right now. Most of them have never posted. And half the people that do post in the forums, are in the Tourney's threads, saying they want in.

Another note. You said earlier a MAJORITY of the community is a paying customer. Sure, if you look through the first couple pages on the scoreboard, maybe. If you look through the back 3-4, i see 80% freemiums. I look through my Current games. What do i see? 60-70% freemiums.
