A better analogy would be that CC took away your car. You cant use your car for anything. That doesnt mean you cant travel, or get in another car, bus, train or airplane, but that the car they provided for you is off limits.

You can use msn, pm, yahoo, skype, game chats, mail, phone, text, cisco or thousands of other means of communication available in the world today. Just not the ones CC provides you.

My son got arrested for that and thrown in the drunk tank, except it was a BK.

You are not allowed to walk through the drive throughs in Canada. They have even prevented people from doing it on horseback.

I guess it's a safety/liability thingy.

wow owenshooter you still talking about this and from reading the post AAFITZ AND what i said in the begining is correct it is part of the ban as it stands now if they change it they change it. i personal think the mods should not change it before they improve this site alot more for all users. not the ones that break the rules.

Once again, you are wrong. I am indeed in full agreement with Andy, or more precisely agree it is policy. I simply disagree with your interpretation of it, and how it affects our current ban punishment system. You are welcome for bringing reason to an unreasonable thread however. :D

yet another member that didn't read andy's post... my post was to mock those that haven't read the thread, followed the thread and mostly that have not read andy's post, yet are weighing in from a point of authority. i couldn't expect you to understand something as subtle as that, because you are simply you... i am still 100 percent correct, and it is a fact...-the black jesus

You are not correct in saying the mods are incorrect. The reality of the situation is simply that currently, when a player is banned, they lose the ability to pm as part of the punishment. It is not an intentional part of the punishment, but an indirect consequence of that punishment, which they concede, however, as they point out, a punishment nonetheless. You are arguing that it is not, when it in fact is, as the reality of the situation makes it.

You are correct that it is not an intended part of the punishment, and that it would be changed if easy or possible, but very incorrect that it is not a part of the punishment, since, when a player gets banned, they lose pm usage. Further, since this is a known side effect, it has been taken into account for when giving out punishments, and no doubt, requires even more caution when giving them out. I suspect it has even helped stay bans in the past, and that when the pms are no longer a part of that punishment that the bans will be able to be implemented easier, and with less worry, since it will only affect the players ability to post on the forum.

So since you are not looking at the big picture, and purposefully ignoring all points of view, you are not only incorrect, but trolling as its obvious you know this as well.

That isnt going to happen. He is correct on some parts of what he is saying, so hes simply going to keep posting that. However, the entire situation is pretty well explained, and no one is completely correct, and no one is completely wrong. Its become a pointless topic to argue, its clear it will be changed when it can, and the rest is just running through the sprinkler running like a little girl. It may be fun, but its a waste of water and energy.

um... but i'm not... the loss of pm's is linked to the phpBB not the punishment itself. andy stated it, he is a higher authority than AAfitz and yourself... besides, you can't even use proper english when you write, how could you ever defeat me in a debate?...-the black jesus

I think this post sums up this topic for now. We'll re-address the minor issue at another date.

Man, I really wish I could access PMs during my ban. Maybe I would've responded to that "Respond to this PM in less than a week or else we'll kill you" PM.
