Knew that you were pretty sick but also a kick-ass fighter so for you to say you are going away to die, I know you mean what you say and this is indeed goodbye, not see ya..
Don't know if you're religious but know that it helps those who are in times like this...me, I'd just go for the morpheine and any other drugs they could pump me with...
As an atheist, I can only say that I've buried a few that I loved and it's always hard but what is harder is those you love lingering in body when mind and spirit has left them...I'm not quite the 102yo of the profile but not getting any younger, M8...
I usually say before being reamed here on CC "we who are about to die salute you" but in this case it'll be "we who are left to battle, thank you"...

She said there's a 15% chance of survival; I know she's accepted death, but there's no reason why Red and her friends can't hope she makes it.

As for Owen's supposition that she's lying... well, if she is, the joke's on me.
Because I would rather be courteous and tricked by her than be rude to her and have it turn out to be real.

I am really surprised neither Andy or Lack has weighed in on this issue. She was a volunteer staff member for a long time, and I think it is shitty that the owner and mod of this site haven't come in to show her any support on this. And no one else is wondering why. Instead of calling names, maybe we should all turn our anger toward the "leadership" on this site, and ask how they can be so cold and callous.

PS I also think this is a cry for attention. She probably is going on vacation and will have a triumphant return.
