freestyle play not properly rewarded

Postby ooge on Wed Dec 02, 2009 8:04 pm

I think good freestyle players are not rewarded enough for their efforts...They should have more than just all the top spots on the scoreboard.now I know c-club tried to correct this by giving them their very own medal for freestyle play, but it is not nearly enough....I think sequential players that manage to beat a freestyle player with a great drop and perfect dice should "donate" 5 pts.to the freestyle player....and by all means at least three more freestyle type medals.....thanks

Heh?

Look at the scoreboard…how many of the top 10 are freestylers? 15? 20? etc. We're rewarded enough…

Maybe i'm missing it, but doesn't that mean 1v1 team players are getting short sheeted?

i think freestyle players are 'NO lifers' who sit in front of their computers 24/7, waiting to jump-in...

but 'team freestyle' requires a totally different set of strategies.

how about a NEW set of medals for "team freestyle"? Ha!

That's quite a good idea actually. You're right, it is a completely different game type.

They answered that once, in some thread, long ago in a galaxy far, far away....
If it's not freestyle, it is sequential, thus, the medals they already give cover sequential settings.

Maybe what they should do is divvy the medals lists between seq and fs and award singles, dubs, trips, and quads for seq separately from sings, dubs, trips, and quads for fs. The current fs medal could be the "singles fs" medal.

24h team freestyle actually calls for something more than setting up 1v1 speed games and waiting for easy pray.. also shouldnt there be a foed-medal for the freestylers aswell.. largest % of sites good players in foelist gets some sort of a special badge.. oh wait.. we already have that..

Their argument doesnt hold water....a standard freestyle win counts towards two medals while a standard secuential counts for one......split the scoreboard and the rest in half....my guess is more people will care more about the secuetial scoreboard ....

Considering that freestyle counts mostly on how fast your comp is.. i do not think that anyone should be getting any medals for it.

the speed of your broadband and add-ons plays a big part of freestyle.

so how about a medal of BOB draped in fibre optic cables?

I have a better idea. Since so many people seem to think counting troops & regions as a major part of strategy, let's give a Counting Medal to all those who play without BOB and without looking at the status box.

Now wouldn't that be fun!

Incorrect anybody who knows anything about freestyle knows it is all about timing. You can run around a map and get owned. Timing is key in anything larger than a 1 vs 1 game.
