'Part work camp, part learning experience' is our motto and I think it is a good one. Every kid gets a free red book, a free Mao suit and bat to beat their teachers to death with if they act a bit bourgeios in class. Ranked 991st of out of the 6 squillion 'centres for moral repression and the limiting of free thought', it has been especially praised for its innovative use of bibles...students are beaten with them daily as a very visual and physical demonstration as to why Christians are evil.
Frankly, I find all the other schools mentioned a tad dull in comparison.

Just out of curiousity, is any of this true?

Well no....but it is based on universities here that certainly have elements of what I am describing. The genesis of good comedy (which I'm not saying this particuarly is..I'm just slapping my thoughts down because I don't want to go to bed) is the absurd somehow made almost reasonable and possible based on the past experiences or the pre-conceived notions of the reader. I was aiming for the latter in this case.
Anyway, having given away at least one of my secrets...

Amusingly, it was probably more left wing: I actually went to Lancaster University (studying political philosophy mainly) and as the only Tory in the class, pretty much, I have to say I rather enjoyed the seminars!! Though I have taught in some pretty crazy places in China...until you have seen thousands of freshers spending their first week decked out in uniform, doing drills (3 bullets each), being indoctrinated in communist thought and tested to see which are suitable to become class spys (or monitors as they prefer to call them) you haven't really seen the other side of coin. Compare and contrast the booze-filled debauchery of an English freshers week..
Btw, that paragraph was all true George!
doing drills (3 bullets each)

Must be nice rooting for Jimmer Freddette this year. I went to high school in the same basketball division as him and remember him absolutely trouncing my team basically by himself. Never thought he'd go on to score 49 and almost put up a triple-double against the nationally recognized Arizona...![]()
I go to Siena College in NY.
