I would certainly prefer it to be moved, though I'm far more polite about it than queen_herpes.

I've tried to get used to the new layout, but because of the size of my laptop screen and the available screen real estate I have, it does not work for me. In fact, it is tediously inconvenient. I get the impression it won't be changing to suit my preferences though, so I will just write a script to make it more convenient for me.

It's fine, I've gotten used to it. I don't know why they moved some stuff on top, that was totally unrelated, but its all good now. I don't like they way the screen scrolls sideways though, this was a mistake that I hope they change back.

Agreed... it's useful to see if it's flat rate and/or chained or adjacent forts, while I'm actually pushing those attack and fort buttons

Just press ctrl minus and the screen will be smaller. And, I play CC so regularly that in fact, I've forgotten what the old layout looks like. It refreshes the whole page, while 'refresh' uses ajax request and changes only what was changed (and not reloading the whole page).
