Why do some players show with the wrong rank on scoreboard?

I was perusing the scoreboard and saw that there are a fewplyaers on page one whose score merits their presence on page one, but they do not have the correct rank. Any way to describe this?

I believe it's due to them losing points/rank between scoreboard updates which is every hour I believe.

No, the hourly update is only for Conqueror.

Killing is right about the necessary games completed. That is why you can see lower ranks mixed in with the higher ranks towards the top of the scoreboard, but not higher ranks mixed in with lower ranks towards the bottom of the scoreboard.
